Rejoice

Happy Tuesday my dear friends! The countdown to Christmas is very rapidly ticking away, is it not?  I am in full Christmas mode.  I am trying to get my cards sorted and mailed out, making batches of cookies and working on my December Daily album for this year.

Every year, I try to make an extra special full 6x8 page for the very first page of the album. I usually use digital images as I can super-size them to exactly fit the page and if I am a little last minute, digital images are almost instantly available!

Here is this year's first page:

I used digital images from Sweet November along with some older digital papers from Whimsy Stamps to create this page.  While the digital papers that I used are now retired, I did find currents ones that would give a very similar look.  They are all linked below.  By using digital images for the backgrounds, the only part of the page that I colored was the angel, the stone archway as the manger.

I used these Copic Markers:

E00, E00, E11, BV00, R20, R22, R00, E50, YR30, YR31, YR23, YR34, E31, E33, E35, C00, C1, C3, 0

I added some Gold Wink of Stella pen to the halo.  The star and  Rejoice sentiment are both from Simon Says Stamp and were die-cut from gold metallic foiled paper.

We Mermaid For Each Other | Lawn Fawn

Happy Thursday! I am so happy to have the time to get this posted! I made this card and video a week or so ago and have just had the time to get it posted to share with you.  You will find the start-to-finish tutorial just underneath all my photographs.

This is probably one of my most favorite cards that I have created using Lawn Fawn products. I used a bunch of sets and dies and it came together so happily and nicely!

I really wanted to create a scene where you would have layers of images that would share the top of the waves in the ocean and then what is underneath the water too. Using the vellum helped me do this. Creating a framed card made it easy to create the ocean and background for all the images and I love how distress inks work with water……always makes a wonderful background.

I remember the first time I snorkeled; I could not believe the amount of sea creatures that are swimming along with you. Granted, I haven’t swum with narwhales of dolphins, but I certainly have seen turtles, rays, and a multitude of colorful fish and coral :) Snorkeling is one of my favorite things to do with my family.
