Tiddly Inks WinterLight Scene + Video

Happy Friday! It is getting pretty close to Christmas! It is time for Tiddly Inks Fab Friday and I have another page insert for my December Daily to share with you :)
Last year I used WinterLight Wryn for a card and when I saw that there was a new one featuring Ricky, I just knew that I wanted to merge them together to create a large 6x8” scene for my December Daily album. I filmed a video sharing the process from start to finish. You will find it below :)

I used a wee bit of a different technique to color in the Polar Bears. In fact, this is what I generally do when I am coloring in something that is mainly “white”. It works out every time:) Just start with your blender pen and get the area to be colored wet before applying color. It starts to blend right away!

I used a total of 4 inks from 2 different companies to achieve this background. I love how it turned out.

This had to be a starry sky so I used a white sharpie poster paint pen as well as an embossed star to create the effect.

Happy Tuesday! It is time for another Tuesday Challenge over at the Tiddly Inks Challenge blog and this time we have been given the theme of:

Holly Jolly

I thought this image was perfect to create a 4x6” insert for my December Daily album. I sized the image on my computer and then printed it out on Neenah Solar Crest White cardstock. I also wanted to use my new gold metallic embossing powder and found this great sentiment from one of the new SU! sets to use! A little sponging around the edges and my insert was done!

Tiddly Inks ~ Fab Friday

Happy Friday! I am back with another little something something for my December Daily album. This time I have sized a digital image to fit on a piece of 4x6” cardstock.

This is a Tiddly Inks image (Be Merry and Bright Pupmas) that I picked up last year and just never had the time to get colored up. I certainly had to remedy that and I thought today’s Fab Friday challenge of “Any Tiddly make” was the perfect time!

DSC_0263

I colored up the sweet puppy and the lights using copic markers. I added some clear Wink of Stella to the lights to make them shimmer. Then I used some SSS Maliblu ink to softly sponge some color onto the edges. The white dots were created using a white Sharpie Poster Paint pen.

Thanks so much for swinging by. Have a great rest of the day.

Littlest Angel

Happy Thursday! It is December and I have been working hard trying to get shopping and DT commitments done :) I am happy to be back to share a new project with you.

I have created a 6x8” page for my December Daily Album.  I used the sweet digital image Littlest Angel from Elisabeth’s Digital collection. SInce this is a digital image, I just sized it to fit on the page perfectly. You could easily size it to fit on an A2 sized card as well. That is what I love about digital images. They are so versatile :)

DSC_0278

The coloring was done with Copic Markers and the background was by masking the image and then sponging on various distress inks.

I wanted to create the look of dawn for my background. I image this little angel looking down on the world Christmas morn.

Tiddly Ink Tuesday Challenge + Video

Happy Friday! It is time to share another Tiddly Inks creation with you! This week the challenge is a very easy Anything Goes.

I am working on getting a lot of the foundation pages ready for my December Daily and I KNEW that I had to use this brand new digital image: Reindeer Games. It is beyond cute :)

DSC_0259

I printed out onto some Neenah cardstock and then on some plain printer paper. I covered over the image on the printer paper with some masking paper and then ran it through my printer again. I then had a perfect mask of my image to use to create a sponged background.

DSC_0260

The image was colored with copic markers before I masked it and created my background. I used some distress inks and blending tools. Then I used some embossing paste and a snowflake stencil to create the snow. I love how it adds texture to my otherwise flat page.

Tiddly Inks Fab Friday

Happy Friday! It is time to share another Tiddly Inks Fab Friday creation with you!

I have used the brand new digital image: Angelic Wishes

DSC_0258

I printed this out and cut it out with my large stitched rectangle die (Lawn Fawn) that measures 4x6”. I know that I want to include this in my December Daily album but how I am not exactly sure. I actually really like it against this patterned paper I used as a backdrop. Maybe I will use that to turn it into a page :)

DSC_0255

The image was colored with copic markers and then I tried something a wee bit different for the background. I used some chalk that I have had for ages and ages. It is from Stampin Up and comes in a set of many, many little squares of color.

I added some clear Wink of Stella to the wings and used a white Sharpie Poster paint pen to create the dots on the background.

All new images can be found HERE.

Whimsy Christmas Journal Page + Video

Happy Monday! I have officially morphed into Christmas mode and am starting to work on pages for my December Daily this year. Even if you don’t create a DD yourself, this project could be turned into a journal page or even a card….it is flexible that way!

DSC_0205

I used some pretty old patterned paper that has been in my stash for a good long while now. It is very traditional and I am sure you can find some very similar to it. I created a pocket on my page so that I can store a recipe or some memorabilia in there.

DSC_0206

The image is  newly released  and is from Elisabeth Bell’s Cottage Cuties collection from Whimsy. It is called Christmas Pudding.  I embellished my page using die cuts from Whimsy’s wonderful collection of dies. They dressed up my page just enough and I love to make my very own custom embellies that are exactly the right color and size for my page.

Christmas Journal Page

Happy Sunday! I am here to share another Christmas themed journal page. I am just loving creating these pages with digital images :) AND I have a fair amount done that will be going into my December Daily Album! I just have to get a head start on these things so that I enjoy the process :)

DSC_0222

This image is called Gift Wrapping and features a sweet fairy and her little friend carrying some Christmas packages. The image was colored with Copic Markers and then the background was added with Prismacolor pencils. The “snow” was created using a white Sharpie Poster paint pen.

Whimsy Christmas Angel Art Journal Page

Happy Monday! It is time for another Whimsy Video. I created an Art Journal page which will actually be going into my December Daily album. I like to incorporate my love of stamping and coloration into my DD album every year.

I used two brand new products that were just released this October along with a couple of older Christmas/Winter themed products. I wanted to create my own background paper for this page and have a scattering of snowflakes in both embossed and die cut forms. The Whimsy sentiment set and Snowflake dies were just what I needed to create the look I wanted.

DSC_0100

I used Antique Linen and Walnut Stain distress inks over top of watercolor paper that was cut to measure 6x8”. Then I randomly embossed snowflakes in varying sizes and styles over the paper. I used adhesive backed felt  and the snowflake dies to cut out different sizes of snowflakes. I used Sharpie white poster paint to create the dots that are scattered all over.

DSC_0102

The sentiment is stamped with Ranger Archival ink and I like the pop that it creates against the neutral background.
