Stamp & Create DT Card and Birthday Sale

Hi Everyone! Happy Tuesday!

Today I want to show you a DT card I made for Stamp & Create. I used the sketch from this week’s Mojo Monday. It is a great one. Love the different layers. The theme of my card is Baby’s First Christmas which fits A Spoonful of Sugar’s Challenge for this week!

This adorable image from Stampavie was in my Stamp & Create DT package. It is such a dream to color. I didn’t use too many colors because I wanted to match the DP. I added Shimmerz (Candlelight) to her dress. It is so stunning and the effect is so easy to create. All you need is a paint brush and the little pot of Shimmerz. I took a picture at another angle so that you can see it better.

The week just flew by and before I knew it, Saturday was here! For this week's card, I inked up this beautiful Sarah Kay stamp and used my prismacolors & OMS to color it in. I love the soft shading you get with your prismas. I kept it fairly simple and used very soft colors. I couldn't find a flower that matched perfectly so I made one using my SU! punch. I sponged the edges to add a little dimension.

Sweet n Sassy PCP Challenge

Here is a card I made for a Sweet N Sassy Card Challenge that was on PCP. It was a recipe challenge! LOL! I'll explain. First you had to choose five items from a list of baking ingredients. Then you were told what each card element that ingredient represented! I picked:

1. Chocolate chips = Brads
2. Brown sugar = Baubles (dew drops)
3. Butter = watercoloring
4. Vanilla = Scallop or edge punch
5. Flour = chipboard

So when I saw these elements I wondered what I would do! I don't own chipboard so I punched some flourishes on thick cardstock and sponged them. I ended up with a card that I actually really like but wouldn't have made anything like it without this challenge! You should give it a try but don't peek at what the elements are before choosing your ingredients. If you haven't joined up at Paper Craft Planet, then you really should. Stamp with Sarah Kay Challenge

Well, my two older boys are off to school today. They are starting Grades 2 & 5! I can't believe how fast time is going by. So, I miss them already as does my youngest son. The house is too quiet!
This is a new challenge for me. This week Katharina created the sketch and I am such a big fan of her sketches so I had to try it out! I only have 2 of these beautiful stamps and so the choice was pretty easy! HeHe! This one reminds me so much of the Holly Hobbie dolls that my sister and I had when we were growing up! I even had a Holly Hobbie lunch box!

Sarah Kay Challenge

This week I was finally able to make a card to enter in the Sarah Kay Challenge. They have a really great sketch to follow and I like it so much, I am sure I'll be using it again! I brought out my Distress Inks to have another go with them. I found the cute little butterfly at the Dollar Store. There were 12 little embellies for a dollar!
