Pink {Ink} & Sketch Saturday Challenges

Happy Saturday! Thanks for stopping by today! I have two cards to show you!

The first card is for this week’s Pink {Ink} Challenge. Natalie has created a lovely sketch for us all to follow and we are being sponsored by In2stamps.

Woj Gnome in Wreath copy

I have used one of the sweet gnomes that were released last month from Whiff of Joy. Such a sweet image and such fun to color. I used paper from Basic Grey’s Eskimo Kisses paper pad and finally had enough courage to try to make my own paper flower. It was actually so easy to make using one of WoJ’s new dies. I can’t believe that I waited so long to try it out :)

Here are some links for you:

My next card Is for this week’s Sketch Saturday Challenge. We are being sponsored by the wonderful Craft Barn and they are giving away a fabulous prize this week. Don’t miss it!

This card features one of the new Magnolia stamps from the Sweet Christmas Dreams 2011 Collection. I am so happy that Stamp & Create is now carrying them! I really {heart} this new collection!

Magnolia 2011 Bell copy

I colored this sweetie up to match the fabulous papers from my new Simple Stories paper pad. This is my new favorite. I adore this color palette for Christmas cards and each and every sheet in this pack is perfection! I sponged with some Forest Moss Distress ink and the little filigree piece is from Wild Orchid Crafts. I couldn’t resist picked up a pack of these. They are lovely. I added some pretty ribbon and twine to the bottom and then some Liquid Pearls to my trees to complete my card. Sigh……happy with how this one turned out!

That’s it for me! I hope you have a fabulous rest of the day!

Tickled Pink Birthday Bash Blog Hop

Happy Saturday! Today is the Tickled Pink Birthday Bash Blog Hop!

If you have come here from Eulanda’s blog, then you are on track. If not, please start the hop over at Kellie’s blog and hop along!

Kellie asked us to pick out our favorite Tickled Pink stamp and that would be the one we would use for the hop! OMGosh! I {heart} them all, but this one in particular is sooooo much fun to color!

Here is my card featuring Lil Victorian Steampunk Lolita Evie!

Steampunk Evie copy

Don’t you love her dress? I made a quick video showing how I colored in the lower portion of her dress. I did speed up the video a little so that it wouldn’t get too long or boring……I don’t really color that quickly! LOL!

I have used the sketch from this week’s Sketch Saturday Challenge….I had a bit of a time crunch this week , so I combined 2 of my DT assignments ;) Sketch Saturday is being sponsored by Robyn’s Fetish Digital designs and more this week.

The papers are all Basic Grey Wisteria. They have the right amount of greys in the violets to do with the coloration of my dress. The birdcage and the key are both elements from a Kerri Bradford kit. I added the text to the cage and the texture to the key using my Silhouette software and a free text download and then used the print and cut feature to cut in out. Easy Peasy and they were the perfect vintage look to accompany my image.

I wonder which image is your favorite from Tickled Pink? The last stop on the hop is the Tickled Pink Blog and if you leave a comment telling us which image is your fave, you will be in the running for a $25 gift voucher from Tickled Pink!

The next stop on the hop is the wonderful Kylie!

Have a wonderful day and enjoy this amazing hop!

Sketch Saturday Week # 176

Happy Saturday! We have beautiful weather here, which is perfect as it is Thanksgiving weekend! We plan to clean up our yard and do some winter prepping as you never know when the next good opportunity will arise :)

My card today is for this week’s Sketch Saturday challenge and it was perfect to use with this new Lil Pinkette Pippa stamp that is one of Tickled Pink’s new Birthday stamps. Isn’t she adorable? I {heart} her freckles. I colored her up in a fresh and happy color combination of pink and green that were drawn from this Basic Grey patterned paper. I forgot to take a picture of the little tag (metal die from WoJ) that pulls out (doh) but it says “From you to me” and is stamped with a Stemplegelde grunge stamp.

TP Pippa copy

For a chance to win this sweet digi image, please leave a comment at the Tickled Pink blog. While you are there you will see the awesome creations by the rest of the team. They are soooo pretty!

Catch-Up Sunday

Happy Sunday Everyone! I cannot believe it, but the whole family slept in this morning! I cannot believe that even the kids slept in! The youngest one was the first one up and he came into our room and announced that it was day-time and he was hungry! I think the rainy and cold weather played a part in our sleepiness, but it was indeed lovely to have a long lie-in like that!

I have sooooo much to show you that I don’t know where to start! So this is going to be a long and picture heavy post! Let’s get started.

First, I’d like to share with you by card for this week’s Pink {Ink} Sketch Challenge. The sketch is by Erica  and we are being sponsored by Hobbyshop Nellie Snellen!

Tilda with Wreath copy

I have used this sweet Magnolia stamp that I have had for such a long time and hadn’t had the chance to ink up. I decided to color her with some traditional Christmas colors and create a Christmas card. I love that you can do this! The paper is Simple Stories 6x6  25 days of Christmas pad. I added some gorgeous iridescent taffeta ribbon from May arts to dress the card up a wee bit.

My second card today is for this week’s Sketch Saturday challenge and we are being sponsored by Tickled Pink Stamps! I have used another of the Pink Ribbon images for my card. These images will be available come 4th of October and there are matching sentiments as well. All are $1 each ONLY for all of October and are only going to be available for a limited time. All sales will go straight to supporting Pink Ribbon Day. This one is called Lil Pinkette Charity.

TP Charity copy

For my third card, I am showcasing another of the Pink Ribbon images. This one is called Lil Lilith. I adore her strong attitude and I paired her up with one of the matching sentiments; “Fight like a Girl”.  I went for a simple, no fuss card and I am happy with how the image is showcased this way!

Pink Ribbon Lil Lilith copy

Finally, I have a card that was a commission for a friend. She wanted a wedding card for her sister. I of course reached for this sweet LOTV image and I used the sketch from this week’s Papertake Challenge.

LOTV Wedding copy

In this photo, you can see the matching envelobox that I created for the card and it has captured the shimmer on her dress!

Have a great rest of the day! I am off now to see my son play hockey!

Sketch Saturday # 174

Happy Saturday my dear friends! Today I have my card for this week’s Sketch Saturday and I was delighted that my order from SCACD came so quickly! I was able to use one the new stamps that I bought.  This is called Princess and is illustrated by the very talented Sylvia Zet.

SCACD Girl and horse copy

***this card is available for purchase now and will be added to my ebay store later this week***

I knew that I wanted to create a Christmas card with this image so I pulled out my new Bo Bunny Father Christmas paper pad and chose my papers and from them I drew my color palette and marker choices. After I colored her with my Copics, I added a slight shadow with a Prisma color pencil (Sand) and added some sponging to the edges of the circle with Distress Ink (Antique Linen)

I did a little machine stitching around the edges of one paper and them added some pretty roses and leaves that were cut out from my paper scraps using a Martha Stewart punch. The ribbon is from Stampin’ Up and I added a Whiff of Joy pearl brad to the center. I think it really adds a fun touch to the ribbon and it ties in with the pearls that I added to the corners of the second paper matted square.

Here is the lovely sketch for you to follow for our Sketch Saturday Challenge. We are being sponsored by The Craft Barn. They are such an amazing company and so generous with us!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a chance to get a little inky today!

Sketch Saturday #172

Happy Saturday Everyone! I just love typing that! This weekend is full of activities once again but the weather is supposed to be nice so I can’t wait to enjoy some sunshine. I hope that you have something fun planned as well.

Once again today the Tickled Pink Design team is previewing the new release: Lil Christmas Collection which will soon be available. I loved these images when I saw them and judging from the feedback I’ve been hearing….so do a lot of you!

Christmas Badge 1

Today we are showcasing - Lil Victorian Christmas Kellita and I have combined my sneak peek card with my Sketch Saturday card. I have changed a few areas of the sketch to suit what I had in mind!

Lil Chrisrmas Kellita copy

I colored Lil Kellita with copic markers to match my papers which are from Cosmo Cricket’s Mitten Weather patterned paper. I cut her out and adhered her to the front of the card. The calendar is a Jenni Bowlin chipboard piece that I have had in my stash for a while now. It and the panel behind it just slide in and out. I did not adhere them to the card front. I figured that I could maybe add a nice gift card to the panel. That would make a nice presentation.

The gorgeous gingham ribbon is May Arts and the button is Jenni Bowlin. The bakers twine is PTI and the pretty kraft border was made using a WoJ metal die.

You have the chance to win this cutie! Just leave a comment at the Tickled Pink Stamps blog post. At the same time you will be able to see the gorgeous creations by the rest of the Tickled Pink team!

Sketch Saturday # 171

Happy Saturday! I have my Sketch Saturday card to show you today!  We are being sponsored by our very own Lisa Hjulberg’s new store: The Craft’s Meow. I am using one of their stamps for my card today:  Little Frieda’s Daisy. I love this sweet image and the way she is looking back at us :)

004

After coloring the image with my copic markers, I masked the image and then sponged in the clouds and the grass. The sentiment is one of a few that come with the image and was stamped onto kraft cardstock, cut out with a Spellbinders tag and then added with some brads. The pennant was made with a MFT die. The patterned paper is Basic Grey’s Wisteria.

It is Lisa’s turn to host and she has provided us with this lovely sketch. Hope you can join us and please check out the gorgeous prize from Lisa’s store as well as the lovely creations by our DT. You can find it all ~here~!

That is all for me! Have a great weekend !

Sketch Saturday #170 ~ Lily of the Valley Card

Happy Saturday Everyone! It has been a few days since I last posted. I have been working on some projects for some upcoming releases and haven’t really been spending too much time on the computer Smile I am going to miss the kids when they go back to school next week but I think I will have a lot more time to devote to my blog Smile I also had a little blogger issue with last week’s Sketch Saturday post and I never got around to getting it posted. I PROMISE that the card will be up tomorrow. As my boys say “Pinkie Promise”!

There is so much that I want to get accomplished and sometimes so very little time. I hope to be able to start loading some cards onto Ebay again. I stopped when we had the postal strike and now I have to get back on top of that!

For today’s card I have used a Lily of the Valley image. I finally broke down and purchased some of their stamps because they are just too darn cute! This one made my hubby laugh because he is always teasing me about the amount of shoes I have. It is a weakness!

lotv girl & shoes copy

will be available for purchase on ebay ~here~

The pretty paper is from a My Mind’s Eye 6x6 paper pad from the Stella Rose collection. I used the color palette in my designer paper to choose my copic markers. I added some background shading with prismacolor pencils and OMS. I like the softness of this technique. I decided to “bling” up the shoe that she is trying on with some stickles and I added some to the rose in her hat. I also added a tiny little star gem adhesive to her shoe…if you look carefully you will see it.

lotv girl & shoes side

I added some black & white gingham ribbon from PTI to the card to pick up the black in some of the shoes. It makes a nice contrast and matches the scalloped mat that I cut for the image. I added a little pearl bling to two corners and made the roses myself with some felt and the MFT rolled roses die. I {heart} the added texture that this lends to the card!

Here is the sketch for this week. I have to say that I love a sketch with a circular shade for the image. So pretty.

We are being sponsored this week with a lovely prize by the Craft Barn!

Have a great day!

Sketch Saturday Week # 168

Happy Saturday! We have a brilliant forecast of sunny weather today and so we are going to try to enjoy every second of it. We are going to a Beach Party/Diploma Day at the sailing center. My eldest passed another level this year and we are so proud of him. He is also really, really happy! I am sure it will be a lovely time.

Today’s card is for this week’s Sketch Saturday Challenge and once again, I have used the new Whiff of Joy Henry’s Adventure stamps. This is truly a must have collection because they can be used for so many occasions!

August 12 Watermarked for Blog - Page 004

I love how sweetly this little froggie is posing for Henry. My boys should take lessons from him! I colored up the image with my trusty Copics and then added some background shadows with some prisma color pencils. I thought this Tim Holtz film strip was the perfect accessory for this image and so added a nice long strip of it.

The papers are Whiff of Joy and so are the sentiment and banner which was made with a WoJ metal die. In fact, everything is WoJ!

August 12 Watermarked for Blog - Page 005

As you can see, I  flipped the sketch upside down, moved the sentiment to the right and the embellishment upwards. It just looked nicer that way with this image.

Here are the product links for you. I have had feedback that you guys enjoy having the links like this so I will try my best to get them up on my posts for you.
