Christmas Series 2016 | Day #2 December Daily Album Page

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great week so far :) Today I have the second video project for this year’s Christmas series to share with you. It is a page insert for my December Daily album. I have been making a December Daily album for quite a few years now and it is probably one of my favorite things that I do. I think one of the main reasons is the pure enjoyment that my kids have both in looking back at past years and also in contributing to the present album.

When I saw this image from Whimsy’s new release, I absolutely knew that it was going to be the focal image on a page in my album. It is just so perfect! My marker choices were based on the color palette from one of the new Whimsy Paper packs. I love the colors and patterns in the pack and how well they go together.

For embellishments, the mains are the mat enamel dots that coordinate with the paper pack as well as some delicate snowflakes that were cut out of some glitter paper using the new Whimsy Snowflake dies.  Love, love how this all came together! Be sure to watch the video below to see the page being created from start to finish.

Whimsy Halloween Decor + Video

Happy Wednesday! I have another Halloween decoration to share with you as well as a video! It may seem like a little early to be talking Halloween but it will be upon us before we know it! Time to get prepared :)

I found this chalkboard pumpkin shape as well as the laser cut sentiment at Michaels Art and Crafts store. I immediately thought that I could personalize it by adding a colored image and some die-cut shapes. Into my basket it went!

I colored up this adorable witch image Hazel with copic markers and then fussy cut her out, leaving a thin white border around the whole image so that it would stand out against the black of the pumpkin shape.

I felt that the top near the stem was a little too bare so I added the trio of die-cut spider webs around it. I really llke how it looks! Good thing I always cut more shapes than I THINK I need! The little bat is a cute touch to the sentiment. This took very little time but will look great displayed in my house for Halloween!

Stamp and Create April Challenge

Happy Tuesday! I have my very last (I promise) Easter themed card to share with you today :)

DSC_8922 copy

I used Whimsy Stamps' Easter Bunny Stamp to create this clean and simple Easter card. A few pearl adhesives were added to keep it from being “too” plain. After coloring the image and the ground with copics, I masked the image and added a pale blue background with my Copic ABS. Love how it turned out.
