Stamp & Create DT Card

Happy Monday! I am taking a break from labelling school supplies :) The kids did great by recycling lots of things from last year and the rest we brought brand-new. You gotta have fresh things for the new school year after-all.

Today’s card is my Stamp and Create DT card. I fell in love with this super sweet Greeting Farm image; Shimmer Bean and just had to have her! She reminds my of a tiny little doll that I had when I was a wee girl. She had long, long red hair and of course that is the color I went for as well!

073 copy

The sentiment and the decorative flourish are all part of the stamp set and I stamped it first onto some Neenah cardstock using Jenni Bowlin Chicken Feed ink. Then I used Hero Arts Pool Tide to stamp this pretty Hero Arts background and sponge the edges. I cut the banner of some paper from Miss Caroline Howdy Doody Paper 6 X6 -My Mind's Eye and then added some bling since my card was quite bare :)

Here are  some new products in stock over at Stamp and Create

Stamp & Create Product Spotlight & Blog Candy

Happy Monday! The sun is shining, my kidlets are off at school and I am taking a break from my laundry and cleaning to write my post! We had such a fun and action packed weekend and I have a ton of photos to go through from our Apple Picking outing. It was a wonderful day and the apples were crisp and delicious. Now we have a humongous bag to go through but I have a feeling it won’t take long!

My card for today features one of my most favorite crafting tool: The Bow Easy . If you don’t have one, believe me, you need one and this week they are on sale at 25 % off over at Stamp and Create! Honestly, it will change your world! LOL!

Greeting Farm copy

I used the sweet Blush Bonnie stamp form The Greeting Farm for my card.  I love her wavy long hair. It was so much fun to color! I paired her with paper from a Kaiser Crafts Class of '87 paper pad and a luxurious silk bow made with May Arts Ribbon and the Bow Easy. That bow literally took less than a minute to make and there was no fiddling about with it aftewards either!

Here is another picture. Sorry the color seems to be a bit off. I’m not sure why. The first picture is a true representation of the colors in real life. I wanted to show you the little card that I made using a combination of PTI stamps and Technique Tuesday(the words). A fun little addition to this school-themed card!

This week, the Stamp and Create Candy is:

The candy will end on Sunday, Sept 25th at 7pm EST .  In order to enter the candy, you must post the Stamp and Create Store's banner in the sidebar of your blog and link it to: http://www.stampandcreate.com/...

That is it for me. My break is over and I have a few more things on today’s to-do list. Then I can start coloring some new images that I just received! WooHoo!

Stamp & Create PS & Sketch Saturday #155

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! I was super busy this week-end. We hosted a big potluck dinner and ceilidh on Saturday. It was wonderful evening with yummy food, hanging with close friends and of course, music and  singing.

So today I have two cards to show you. The first one is my Sketch Saturday card that I didn’t have a chance to post on my blog on Saturday. I was too busy making lasagna and muffins ;)

SS2011 - Page 091

I have used the incredibly cute Greeting Farm image: Ruby! I got this one over a Scrapbook Centrale (for those of you in the Montreal area) but she is also available at Stamp & Create ~here~ for those of you who are not in the Montreal vicinity :)

I colored her to match this fabulous American Crafts Confetti paper. The background behind the motif was stamped with a Hero arts background stamp and the butterflies were cut out using a Martha Stewart punch and I used the tiny attacher to staple them on. The sentiment was embossed with white filigree powder and is from Verve Stamps. I hope you can join us this week over at Sketch Saturday. Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamp.

My second card is my Stamp & Create Product Spotlight card. This week our product spotlight is Mermaids and all mermaid stamps will be 25% off!

S&C2011 - Page 145

I knew of course that I would be using one of the fabulous Sweet November mermaids. The difficulty was in choosing which one! They are all so gorgeous. I love, love them. In the end, I picked sweet Fathom Calmsea & Lio. I colored her in aqua green and used the same markers to create these dotted underwater scene. I added a few dew drops to softly create the look of bubbles. Here is a close-up of Fathom:

S&C2011 - Page 143

When you untie the ribbon, you open a flap to reveal this sweet message that was stamped with Technique Tuesday stamps. The doily shape was cut out of kraft cardstock with my wonderful Silhouette SD machine. I love the fact that I can download so many different designs and have these intricate shapes cut with just a press of a button. Pure Genius!

S&C2011 - Page 144

The card does open up as a regular free-standing one and you can add your personal salutation to the inside of the card.

Here are some links for you:

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek at my cards. I hope you have a lovely day!

Smiley

Happy Saturday Evening! ***Grin*** I was so tired last night that I did not schedule this post and I was busy with party preparations all today. Everything was wonderful and the boys were sooo happy! I will have some things to share with you tomorrow so stay tuned!

For now, I would like to show you my card for this week’s Sketch Saturday. I loved the fun sketch that Jo created. Those triangular pieces are something I never would have thought of doing but they add so much interest and look great.

I used this sweet image from the Greeting Farm. Too sweet. Reminds me of my kidlets :) I got mine from Scrapbook Centrale but if you are not in the Montreal area, then I know that Lacey also has this set over at Stamp & Create. The paper is MME Alphabet soup. Such a great line. I love the bright color combos.

Hope you can join in the fun over at Sketch Saturday. Our wonderful sponsor is the Craft barn and just look at the prize! GASP! Love it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp & Create Product Spotlight and High Hopes Challenge

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was busy and happy but of course I am running behind again! This has been the story of my summer but I want to enjoy every minute I can with my kids before they go back to school!

I just wanted to give out some information (before I forget) to all those who have emailed me regarding my newest videos that show how I mask images. The masking paper I use is called Eclipse tape. Unfortunately, I have just found out that the company who makes this tape is searching for a new manufacturer. The on-line stores that I bought my tape from are all out of stock at the moment. I am sorry. I hate to steer you towards something that ultimately is not available. As soon as I hear any news I will let you know :)

My first card that I have to show you today features one of the cute Wild Sprouts images from The Greeting Farm’s Roll Call kit. What a fabulous deal this kit is. So many cute images and matching sentiments!

The deal is even sweeter this week over at Stamp & Create because TGF is our product spotlight and all TGF stamps are up to 25% off!

Whiff of Joy 2010 - Page 142

I used the wonderful sketch that I found at Card patterns and I made sure to use some flowers to fit the Stamp & Create August challenge. You can find the details ~here~

My next card is for the High Hopes Challenge. This week the challenge is to use ribbon. I was able to get my card ready in time to post at the challenge blog but wasn’t able to post it on my own blog! LOL! See I told you this summer is totally crazy for me! I hope you will be able to join us this week. The winner of the challenge this week will be able to choose a stamp of their own choice as a prize!

I have used one of the brilliant High Hopes Dustin Pike images. This little guy makes the perfect birthday card!

Amy Wegener - Stampin' Stuff based out of Australia
Nikki Fairbairn - Bunny Zoe's Crafts based out of the UK/Europe
Lacey Stephens - Stamp and Create based out of the US
Amy Leggate - Paper Romance based out of Canada
Karen Goguen/Cathy Siroski - The Rubber Room based out of Canada

That is it for me. Today we are going to get the kids all their school supplies. We actually have fun doing this and it will be my little one’s first time…he starts kindergarten this fall!

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Stamp & Create Product Spotlight ~ The Greeting Farm

Stamp & Create - Page 029Happy Monday! Hope you all had a good weekend! Today, I am really excited to share with you my card spotlighting The Greeting Farm! This week over at the Stamp & Create blog, the DT will showcase some of these gorgeous stamps and of course, because they are the spotlight, they will be reduced by 25%! That is “sweet” as my older boys say!

When I received this stamp set in my DT package, I just fell in love. They are called the “Darling Sisters” and they look so cute together, I just had to figure out a way to have them ALL on the same card!

Stamp & Create - Page 029

Stamp & Create DT Project

Stamp & Create - Page 004

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a wonderful week-end!

Today I want to show you a cute little box that I made. I found the tutorial here on the Stempeleinmalein  blog. I thought it would serve so nicely as a little hostess gift. I filled mine up with little Lindor chocolates. When the chocolates are all eaten, the box can be used for something else!

Stamp & Create - Page 004

Here is a side view! I absolutely needed my Scor-pal tape on this project. It is the very best and you can rest assured that what you stick together will stay together!

I am not sure if Lacey is sold out of this particular one but there are more from the new release and they are all so cute! Plus she is having an AMAZING Christmas sale! Congratulations my dear! Please send me your mailing address and I will get your goodies over to you!

Now, don’t be sad if you didn’t win my gift bag because there were 9 others plus a sponsored prize up for grabs. All the winners have been announced over at the SS blog.

This week, my fellow DT member Mandy is hosting the challenge. She has created a lovely sketch for us all to play with!

Our Guest Designer is Christine Dark from Sketching Stamper. We are so happy she could join us. Her creations are just fabulous!

I ordered this sweet image on Monday and it arrived on Thursday! That was shockingly fast and I was so happy that I could use her for my Sketch Saturday DT card! She was so much fun to color. I added glitter to her sun-glasses using my versamark pen, heat & stick powder and then glitter. I created the flowers using a Spellbinders die and I ran the petal and the photo corners through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder. I distressed the edges of the orange cardstock with a pair of scissors!

  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
