DT Cards

Happy Wednesday! We lost our internet connection Monday night and did not get it back until yesterday afternoon. I was not a happy camper. The problem was finally rectified by our provider and I am really hoping that is an end to my computer problems. So today I have a double post for you!

I had to use this sweet Little Bunny that I received from The Stamp Shoppe because Easter is right around the corner! Love this sweet and bashful bunny. I used the sketch over at Mojo Monday and made this small little round card. Such a fun change from the square cards that I am always making!

Both the image and the designer paper can be found at The Stamp Shoppe. The rest of the materials were from my stash. I think this is the perfect little card to tuck into a basket of eggs!

My second card is using a Kraftin’ Kimmie stamp that I got from Stamp & Create. OMGosh does this one make me laugh! Funnily enough, both my husband and middle son are IN LOVE with this card! They are always quite lovely about my creations and always tell me that they are “nice” but this one ellicited a huge response!

You’re Too Kind ~ Sketch Saturday Challenge

A few weeks ago, I won my dear friend Aud’s blog candy! OMGosh! I was so excited because frankly, it is rare for me to win anything! I won two really gorgeous Belles & Whistles stamps (I can’t wait to ink them up) and when I received my package, I found this AMAZING HANGLAR stamp as well! You know how in books, they always say that a person “gasped” well I did….I literally GASPED! I love these Hanglar stamps but as you know, they do not ship to Canada.  Dear Aud knew how much I loved them and decided to surprise me! What a sweet friend she is. Thanks so much Sweetie!

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Hi again! I am back for my second post today! My Wags card is one post down! This week over at Friday Sketchers, “c’est moi” who is hosting the challenge! I am delighted that Sweet ‘n Sassy stamps is hosting us this week! Do you know that they have switched over to digi stamps now? Go over and take a peek! Korin is offering two  new digi images to one of our lucky participants.

For my card, I decided to pair up the glass window from Magnolia’s 2009 Easter collection with this new stamp. Tilda is cut out and placed on dimensionals so that she pops up a little bit. The paper is also by Magnolia as are the flowers. It was easy-peasy to whip up this card with all these matching elements. I don’t know if you can see it very well but I went over the glass with Shimmerz. This is such a fun and versatile product. I use it so often. I also used it on her wings. The sentiment and fancy circle are from SU! I also used my very FAVORITE lace on this card. You can find it   -->here<— at Stamp & Create.

My sketch is below. I have to admit that it always makes me a teensy bit nervous when it is my turn to create a sketch…..I have a hard time coming up with them. I hope this one is alright and that you might be inspired to try it out this week and participate in our challenge!

Wags n Whiskers Challenge

Happy Friday! This is my first of two posts for today! I will be back with my post for Friday Sketchers a little later!

This week, it was Tina’s turn to pick a challenge for this week’s Wags challenge and she created this beautiful sketch for us all to play with. Isn’t it beautiful? I just love it!

I was thrilled to discover that my LSS had ALL the new Distress Inks and you know what I did? I bought them all! I know, I couldn’t help myself. So, I was so happy to sit down with them and color up this sweet Wags image. I used Shimmerz Pearlz to color in the white flowers. It is opaque and I love the look it gives.

Magnolia Easel Card

Happy Wednesday! I have an easel card to show you featuring one of the new stamps from Magnolia’s Hoppy Easter Collection that I got from The Stamp Shoppe. I was so eager to use some of the new paper and flowers too. I just love when everything co-ordinates so well together! This week’s Just Magnolia challenge was to create an easel card so that is where I got the idea!

I colored this sweetie up with my Copic and then I added some Shimmerz to the egg-shell. I am still not very comfortable using my sewing machine to sew on cardstock. I am afraid of ruining my machine. I am interested in maybe purchasing a small mini one but I don’t know where to get one here in Canada. If anyone has any suggestions, I would be grateful. I love the look of sewing so I paper pierced around the edges of all my pieces to try to give a little of that effect.

Double Challenge Friday!

Happy Friday! Are you all looking forward to the weekend? I sure am. My son comes home today from his ski-trip and we have a family birthday party on Saturday for the two older boys and one for my middle son and his friends on Sunday. Whew!

Whiff of Joy DT Card & New Video

Happy Thursday Everyone! OMGosh I cannot wait until tomorrow when my oldest son returns from his school ski trip! He has been gone since Monday and this is the first time he has gone on a trip like this. We all miss him so much and although he is an excellent skier, I get worried every-time the phone rings…..I am such a worry-wart!

I have made another video for you. This one shows how I use Twinkling H2os over my Copic marker coloring. I have had so many requests for a tutorial and so many questions on how I do it that I thought a video would be the perfect way to give you the info! Copic Video Tutorial ~ WOJ Henry Hugging Heart

Happy Tuesday! Today I have a two part copic colorng tutorial for you that features my favorite mouse: WOJ Henry! Youtube limits the length of videos to 10 minutes so I have made it in two parts.

I have a third video that will post on the WOJ Tutorial & Inspiration  Blog on Thursday. In this one I will show you how to add Twinkling H20s to your copic coloring.

I have had quite a lot of request so I will tell you that Yes, I am going to do a lot more copic coloring videos and answer all you questions.

 

 

Stamp & Create Product Spotlight ~ The Greeting Farm

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a good weekend! Today, I am really excited to share with you my card spotlighting The Greeting Farm! This week over at the Stamp & Create blog, the DT will showcase some of these gorgeous stamps and of course, because they are the spotlight, they will be reduced by 25%! High Hopes Challenge

Happy Sunday! I am still running around and am bone tired. What a crazy month! I am sorry for the short posts and lack of commenting but right now the only time I am able to devote is to actually making the cards to post! I hope it will calm down soon.

The High Hopes challenge this week is flutterbies (basically anything with wings) and the HH Divas are taking this to a whole new level. We were being quite silly this week as we chatted and so you NEED to visit all of them to see what (or whom) I mean!

My image is one of the older HH ones but really one of the first “cute” stamps that I ever bought and it still remains a favorite. I changed things up and water-colored it with a mix of H20s and distress inks.

Again, I will come back and edit and provide more detailed info once this crazy weekend is over….fundraisers, hockey finals, etc, etc

Making the Perfect Bow

Happy Thursday! I don’t have a card for you today but I will post the video I made on how to use the Bow Easy. I am going to have some copic ones soon but I need to wait until my chatty 4 year old is at pre-school to make those. He invariably comes in to chat with me whenever I am trying to record something!

The Stamp Shoppe ~ Lucky Tilda

Happy Wednesday! Today I have a card that I made using two stamps from last year’s Fortune Collection from Magnolia. Since next week is Saint Patrick’s Day, it is a great time to ink them up! Both these stamps are available over at The Stamp Shoppe -->here<--  and so there is still time to play with them!

Tilda was colored and then cut out and mounted onto the background with some foam dimensionals. The horseshoe was stamped out and I colored in just the horseshoe. I then airbrushed the whole background with B000, making sure to add more color to the edges and not very much to the center. I went over the shamrocks with a very light green – G20  that blended in with the blue. Then I colored the shamrocks and added stickles to the centers and outlined the stems with a sakura gel pen.
