Happy Friday! Just wanted to share my card for the newest Stamp and Create with Magnolia Challenge that went live last Friday. Yes, it has been one of those week ;)

Here is the Halloween Tag that I made:

I used Flying Witch Tilda to create this fun little tag. The tag was cut out using a Whiff of Joy tag and I colored the image AND background with Zig Clean Color Markers. I am definitely loving these markers. Look out for a video about them soon :)

Stamp and Create September Challenge

Happy Monday! If you have the day off for Labour Day, I hope you are enjoying this little bit of extra time :)

It is time for a new challenge over at Stamp and Create. This month the theme is:

Back to School

As soon as I saw the challenge theme, I knew that I wanted to use stamps from Whiff of Joy’s Back to School collection: I Love School and School Accessories. Some of my favourite stamps and I love being able to use them again :)

I am just loving creating one layer cards but using different techniques to keep them interesting without being too fussy. I ended up embossing the book and apple stamp just so that the main image would really pop! The oval was sponged using inks from Hero Arts and Simon Says stamp. I will be creating a video sharing how I did it. Stay tuned :)

Stamp and Create with Magnolia Challenge

Happy Thursday! I haven’t had the chance to post my card for the latest Stamp and Create with Magnolia challenge. The theme is easy peasy: Anything Goes :)

I created a little framed landscape card. The frame was made with the two largest dies from Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Rectangles set. The background was sponged using inks. You can watch a video showing you this exact technique HERE.

The Magnolia images I used were Edwin Catching Fish and Tilda on the Beach and the sentiment is from PaperTrey Ink.

I used an image from Saturated Canary that has been on my wish list for awhile now. This is Casey and I decided to go the “no lines” coloring way. There is definitely a big learning curve on this technique but I think it isn’t too bad :)

Stamp and Create with Magnolia

Happy Tuesday….okay… technically it is Tuesday evening. I am a bit behind in things. We celebrated my youngest’s birthday this weekend and it has been a full month of birthdays at our home! So I am playing a little bit of catch up!

 

I wanted to share my creation for the latest Stamp and Create with Magnolia Challenge.

 

 

 

This image is Devine Tilda and I colored her in shades of pink. I first diecut some cardstock with a Mama Elephant die that has this great stitched detail around the edges. I used an old SU background stamp and some Hero Arts Soft Pink ink for the background. I stamped some hearts with the same ink and then added some clear Wink of Stella pen to them.

Stamp and Create

Happy Canada day to my fellow Canadians. We didn’t go out to celebrate because it rained (poured) pretty much of the whole day :( At least we were able to see the fireworks last night. So, to the great happiness of my children, we cleared out the toy room. What a big job but it had to be done. It looks fantastic and we have a dedicated Lego work area and storage for my youngest. Yippee. No more Lego vs. bottom of feet mishaps. Plus, we have a ton of things that we can donate to make some other youngster happy!

So enough of all that. I have my card for Stamp and Create to share with you today! I pulled out one of my oldest stamps that was re-released by another company. It was fun to color it up.

Stamp and Create with Magnolia

Happy Saturday morning! Just popping in quickly to share my new card for the latest Stamp and Create with Magnolia challenge:) The theme is: Patriotic. I knew right away which Magnolia stamp I wanted to use: Liberty Tilda

I cut some watercolor paper and then “smooshed” some distress inks onto it. I used Shabby Shutters, Tumbled Glass and Salty ocean. I love, love this technique. I first saw it on Kristina Werner’s blog.

The image itself was colored with Copic Markers. I took a picture of the markers after I was done coloring. Please excuse the bad photo.

Stamp and Create ~ A Birthday Card

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a fabulous week-end! This is my first of two posts for today :) So let’s get right to it!

I thought I would use this sweet image to make a birthday card. The image is from Whimsy Stamps and is called Zoe Butterfly. I picked her up in my last Stamp and Create haul :)

I used copics and my copic airbrush system to create a single layer card. Great for mailing :) A little wink of stella clear glitter pen on the balloons and some blue (they really are blue but are reading as purple) sequins and my card was done!

Sakura Tilda ~ Stamp and Create

Happy Thursday! It has been quite a busy week and I am longing for some down time. Just a little :) It has been so busy that I didn’t get a chance to post this card yet!

I used  Sakura Tilda from the new Magnolia Sakura 2015 collection and kept my card clean and simple.  I added some sequins, stamped a few flowers and the sentiment and then added a line along all the sides using my t-ruler and a fine-tipped sharpie pen.

Stamp and Create with Magnolia Challenge

Happy Saturday! Yippee! Lots going on with the boys this week-end but I hope to get some quiet time to start a new quilt :) and maybe get a head start on some cards for the summer for my design teams. There is just so much crafty goodness out there these days! I wish there were more hours in the day!

Today I am going to share my card for the Stamp and Create with Magnolia challenge:

Since the theme this time around was Masculine or a card for a Boy/Man. I pulled out this older Edwin stamp from my stash. I created the background using the “smooshing” technique which I just saw on Kristina Werner’s blog. I think I have fallen in love with this way to make backgrounds. I added a sentiment from MFT.

For my card I used this super sweet image that I just got from the store.  It is Pollycraft Fleur from CC Designs.

To create the background, I used Distress Inks. It was quick and the perfect summer backdrop for the image. The sentiment is from a SU! set that I have had for awhile: Bloomin’ Marvelous.

Happy Monday! The weekend flew by and now another week has started. The days just go by so fast! Here is my latest card. I pulled out a few stamps that I had from CC Designs and created this sweet little scene. I just love the Sweet November images….I wish that they would release some new ones. I think they are oh so sweet :)

Happy Tuesday! We just had a 4-day weekend over here so now I am totally confused as to what day it is! EEK! Here is my card for Stamp and Create this week :)

I used Magnolia’s Water Lily Tilda. I am pretty much a simple card kind of gal these days. I used a stitched rectangle die from Mama Elephant, some left-over Basic Grey paper, ribbon and a button. DONE!

Stamp and Create–Dancing Hedgehogs

Happy Monday! I hope that everyone had a good and relaxing Mother’s Day. I know I did :) I am back to day with a card for Stamp and Create that features two very happy critters.

The stamp is High Hopes' new Dancing Hedgehogs. I colored the hedgehogs and grass with copic markers and the sky was sponged on with distress ink.

Stamp and Create with Magnolia ~ All About Moms

Happy Saturday! It is time for another fun challenge with Stamp and Create with Magnolia. This time, it is all about mothers :)

I chose this new image for the World Wide Web Collection from Magnolia. This image is At-Tilda. I simply did not ink up the “@” sign for this card. Easy to do with some post-it tape to cover it up whilst inking :)
