Happy Wednesday! I have a card to share with you that features The Nope Rope Clear Stamp Set from Whimsy Stamps August release. Now, I know some people don’t really like snakes BUT these ones are extra cute!
I created a background panel by stamping some green cardstock with a couple of the images from the set. I stamped the snake image first and then just filled in the empty areas with the party hat. The green ink I used is slightly darker than the cardstock but it is more a tone on tone look. I wanted to add more interest to my card but still wanted the colored snakes on the white panel to be the focal point.
I stamped the focal image on some Bristol smooth cardstock with Archival black ink and then colored the snakes using Zig Real Brush Clean color markers (colors are listed below). I cut out the bottom portion of the cardstock using one of the dies from the Envelope Edger Die Set. To give it a more finished look, I softly sponged the edges with green ink. The sentiment is from the same set an was stamped using my Misti tool and Versafine Black ink. I adhered the focal panel using some foam tape and added a couple of enamel dots to the top corners.
