Stamp & Create August Challenge

Happy Tuesday..almost Wednesday! Sorry about my random postings these days. That is just the way it is in the Summer. We were away camping from Friday to Sunday and I am catching up with the laundry, groceries as well as running around with the kids. We had a fantastic time and the boys loved every minute of it…except for the mosquitos…they were just nasty.

My card today is for the August Challenge over at Stamp & Create. The theme is critters and gave me the opportunity to ink this sweet stamp up. Had a lot of fun creating the fur on the little puppy and will be giving a course on how to do this in September at Scrapbook Centrale. It is one of the techniques I have been asked a lot about

The image I  used is a Stampavie image from the Laurence collection called: A Warm Welcome. I colored it up with Copic Markers to match the colors in the patterned paper from Echo Park's For the Record paper pad. I love the happy colors and pretty patterns in this pad. So fun!

I added a sky background by using a cloud template and my Copic ABS and then sponged in some grass with Jenni Bowlin ink in Stick Candy. and then did some paper piercing around the edges for a little more interest. I machine stitched the papers and created the little sentiment tag by using vellum and a PTI die  and stamp.
