Stamp & Create Product Spotlight & High Hopes Peek

Happy Tuesday! I have a super long post with THREE cards to show you today! There is so much happening this week, I have to try to fit things in together! Not that I am complaining. It is glorious to be working with all these gorgeous new stamps! Now let’s get down to business!

My first card is for this week’s Stamp & Create Product Spotlight which is “food”. I thought that this adorable little Sweet November lad with his little plate of cookies would certainly fit the bill. Besides, I have been itching to ink this cute image up since I got him! The paper is Carnival by Kaiser Craft and the sentiment is Whiff of Joy. The bow was made with the bow-easy. One of my favorite tools!

This week all “food” themed stamps will be an amazing 25% off so now is the time to get the ones that you have on your wish-list! I am picking up some more of these Sweet November Christmas ones for sure!

*****

At last I am showing you my DT card for this past week’s Sketch Saturday Challenge! I am really happy with these new Christmas Magnolia stamps and this sketch was perfect to show this cutie off!

Whiff of Joy 2010 - Page 167

The designer paper is by Fancy pants and I used Paper-trey’s star dies as well as their baker’s twine. Both stamps are Magnolia.

And finally I have another sneak peek of High Hopes’ newest release. This is my entry to our last HH challenge of the year “party animals” and I am totally switching gears and showing you an Easter card! LOL! It was actually pretty refreshing to make a sweet pastel spring card!

Whiff of Joy 2010 - Page 172

Awww…aren’t they sweet? These cuties will be available tomorrow! The paper is Basic Grey Porcelain and the ribbon is May Arts.

Don’t forget to join us on our Release Blog Hop which will start tomorrow morning! There will be tons to show you and maybe a few prizes along the way **wink**!

Thanks for swinging by today. I wish you a lovely day!

High Hopes Sneak Peek

Happy Monday! My post for Saturday did not post as scheduled (don’t you just love blogger?) and of course I only noticed Sunday evening. So, I will show you that card tomorrow because today I have a sneak peek to show you!

Whiff of Joy 2010 - Page 169

This features a sneak peek of one of the new High Hopes stamps that will be released on  December 1st. I decided to make a fun folded card and insert a couple of tags that are stamped with some of the new sentiment releases! You can see them in this photo below:

Aren’t they fun? There are more peeks to be had on my fellow divas’ blogs! I am sure you will fall in love with these new images…….I certainly have!

Friday Sketchers #130 & Wags’nWhiskers Challenges

Happy Friday! This week it is my turn to host the Friday Sketchers Challenge and so I hope that you will find some time this coming week to try out my little sketch! Christmas is just around the corner so I am sure we will be seeing a lot of fabulous Christmas cards this week!

For my card, I have used this fabulous Stampin’ Bella stamp that was illustrated by the very talented Mo Manning! I just love the name “I Even Like the Box”! It reminds me so much of when my guys were tiny babies and ignored all their Christmas presents to play with the boxes that they came in!

Whiff of Joy 2010 - Page 232  ***All supplies Courtesy of Scrapbook Centrale***

  • Stamps: Stamping Bella Mo Manning M0123
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: Bazzill Cardstock, DP ?????
  • Coloring: Copic Markers, White Gel pen
  • Embellies: MME Lost & Found Brad
  • Martha Stewart  Snowflake Punch
  • Be sure to check out all the samples that my fellow DT sisters have created for your inspiration.

Aud, Bea, Claudia, Tanja, Jacque, Janneke, Jorunn Inge

We hope  you will be able to play along and post your own creation on the Friday Sketcher blog. We are being sponsored this week by Lauretta’s Digital stamps!

Just want to mention that I will be teaching another Introduction to Copic Markers this coming Thursday morning (December 2nd) over at Scrapbook Centrale. If you are in the Montreal area, maybe you would like to attend! All details can be found ~here~

    *****

My next project is for this week’s Wags’nWhiskers Challenge which is to create a gift holder, tag, etc. Here is what I came up with:

    Whiff of Joy 2010 - Page 166

These tags can be used as book-plates or as tags for your presents. They were super fun to create and I couldn’t stop at just one!

The images are all Wags’n Whiskers and are available to purchase ~here~.

The tag itself is created using a Papertrey die and matching stamp set. I sponged all around the edges to create a more finished look.

Hope you can join us in our challenge this week. As always there is a great prize up for grabs! Check out the rest of the Divas’ fantastic creations. I am totally going to be trying some out!

Thanks for stopping by today! I will have a new card to show you tomorrow!

    Whiff of Joy Sneak Peek

I am still not completely back in the groove of things. I think my heart is still in Disney! LOL! In any event I haven’t been as productive as I would have liked. I have been back at the gym twice already this week hoping to counter-act all the yummy food I ate last week. OMGosh!

Whilst I was gone, a few lovely DT packages arrived and were waiting patiently for me! That sure is a change. I am usually the one waiting for the packages!

Today I am thrilled to show you a sneak peek of one of the new Whiff of Joy images that will be released on December 1st! My fellow DT will have sneak peekies on their blogs too so don’t forget to go take a look!

    Whiff of Joy 2010 - Page 168

I am not sure what this cutie’s name will be but I think he is adorable, don’t you? I paired him with one of the new WoJ sentiments that will be released at the same time! The papers are old Memory Box from my stash and the leaves were made with one of the new WoJ metal dies! I {heart} this one! You can’t pick up the shimmer with this photo but I added Jasper Red Twinkling H20s to the reds in my image and it looks so pretty IRL!

I am entering this card in this week’s A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge which is “anything goes”.

    Whiff of Joy 2010 - Page 159

When I first saw this new Whiff of Joy Praying Angel image, I thought she would look so sweet kneeling in front on Baby Jesus in the manger. I brought the two images together with a little masking magic! The gorgeous flowers were a find in local craft shop. I love the rough texture! the lace is from Stampin’ Up. The gorgeous leaves were made from one of the new WoJ dies. You will probably be seeing them a lot on my cards because I LOVE them! Here is a picture list of some the other items I have used. High Hopes Challenge

Happy Wednesday! Yes, I am running late with this posting! The High Hopes challenge started yesterday but I have been a super busy chickie these days! As I have mentioned before, I have join a local gym in an effort to whip myself back into shape. Too many hours blurfing (blog surfing) has to be counteracted with some hard work at the gym! ACK! My body may mutiny!

    Whiff of Joy 2010 - Page 158

Our challenge this week was buttons and so I chose this sweet image because I knew I wanted to replace his button with a real one. The coloring was done with Copic Sketch markers and after cutting it out, I thought that it would look great against plain Kraft cardstock. The stamp itself is so intricate that I thought adding DP would probably be visually overwhelming! To soften it up, I paper pierced around the edges of the cards and then added some faux stitches with a white gel pen. This luxurious May Arts checked ribbon provided the way to incorporate another button!

VoilĂ , another Christmas card done! Here is my supply list. i have linked each photo to take you where you can get them!

Now, Let's see some buttons on your card!  Just remember that you must use a High Hopes image to be entered into the drawing for 3 Free High Hopes Stamps!!

If you upload your card to Splitcoaststampers, please use keyword HHC96 (which stands for High Hopes Challenge 96).

If you need a High Hopes stamp, why not check out the Diva Stores:

That is it for me. I plan to work on a bunch of DT cards today so will have more to show you soon!
