High Hopes Challenge ~ Stamp Shoppe

High Hopes Stamps - Page 012

Happy Sunday! Today the High Hopes Challenge is to create a “tall card. I made mine to measure 4”x8.5” which means that it can fit right into a standard business envelope.

I chose to go really simple with this card. I wanted the image to “be” the card and not get caught up in over embellishing or adorning it. Just simple, rustic and hopefully, peaceful! Although I don’t usually “mass-produce” cards. I am really behind in my card-making for Christmas. I think I am going to make a whole bunch of cards based on this one.

  • Stamps: High Hopes Let us Adore Him, Verve Sentiment
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: SU Kraft, Misc Scraps from my drawer
  • Coloring: Copic Markers
  • Embellies: SU Ribbon in Chocolate Chip

High Hopes Stamps are available at our diva’s stores:

I hope you have the time to participate this week in the High Hopes Challenge. Always a chance to win one of these sweet stamps. Make a tall card and, you know what, try going simple like I did. It is a wonderful change. I always have to draw a big breath around this time of the year and re-focus and remember “the REASON for the SEASON”.

I also wanted to show you a card I made following Carla’s challenge sketch for the Stamp Shoppe Blog Hop. There is still time for you to participate. My challenge is here and you can read more about all the details here at the Stamp Shoppe’s new blog!

I used Tilda with Christmas cracker and the DP is Basic Grey as well as so scraps. The sentiment was from a little Making Memories package I bought as my LSS.

Have a great day. Tonight is our Advent Concert. It feels like I learnt about 600 new songs for this one! LOL! I am most looking forward to singing a solo with my eldest son accompanying me on the violin. It will be the first time we have performed together at a huge concert like this. It is going to be a very special and proud moment for me. I am also helping lead the Children’s Choir and all 3 of my lot are in it, even the 4 year-old. He has a set of pipes like his Mum!
