The Stampe Shoppe ~ Sneak Peek

Happy Monday Everyone! I woke up this morning to the sounds of my sweet little 4 year old telling us all; “It’s Snowing….there’s snow and it is staying!” It looks gorgeous outside this morning and I can’t help but be happy when I see my kids so excited.

Today I have a little sneak peek to show you. Tomorrow (December 1st) The Stampe Shoppe is having a Blog Hop! We will be showing off our new blog, new card gallery and new DT members! We will have some challenges and of course, there will be a fair bit of candy involved! LOL! I am super excited!

I have made a fun card and have a mini tutorial done as well.

Here is a little peek of my card for the hop:

High Hopes Challenge

High Hopes Stamps - Page 011

Happy Sunday! Hope your weekend has been a good one! We are in the process of decorating our home for Christmas. At this point in sort of looks like Christmas exploded in our home. I hope that by the end of the day it will look “decorated”! We have so many gorgeous ornaments and hand-made items. Each of them brings back a special memory of a cherished time or a loved one. Each one has it’s own story of how it came to be part of our Christmas. Today the boxes came out, the egg-nog was poured and the Christmas music was put on! After so many years together my husband has been converted and my kids share my LOVE of the season!

This week over at the High Hopes challenge, it was my turn to pick the challenge. I decided to create a sketch. I hope you all like it. I am becoming a little braver with my sketches, let me know if you like it!

Here is the prize for one of our lucky participants. Remember you have to be in it to win it! LOL!

I created another Christmas card (desperately needed)  using this sweet HH angel. I added stickles to her wings and Shimmerz to her dress, stars and the trumpet. I am starting to be a little addicted to Shimmerz. They have so many different colors and they are SOOOO easy to use. I get mine from Stamp & Create. Lacey has them at a really good price! The ones I used today are Candlelight and Sky Blue.

Joy & Love ~ Sketch Saturday

Sketch Saturdays - Page 136

Happy Saturday! Once again, Jo has created an amazing sketch for us all to follow over at Sketch Saturday. We are being sponsored with a  fabulous prize by the Craft Barn this week.

Sketch Saturdays - Page 136I used one of the new Christmas Tildas form the So Jolly collection. I just love them all! The papers are also Magnolia’s. I am really pleased with it. There is a little bit of texture to it and it is quite heavy. I got the stamp and the paper from The Stamp Shoppe. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy. I love how it fits so perfectly inside the ribbon tag.

  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Red Riding Hood
  • Paper: Papertrey Cardstock, Magnolia DP

Friday Sketchers & Wags ’n Whiskers Challenges

Friday Sketchers - Page 047

Happy Friday Everyone! This week, I found I was so busy that I decided to combine my DT cards for Friday Sketchers and Wags ‘n Whiskers.

Thank you to all who participated last week over at Friday Sketchers, it was so cool to see all the different interpretations of my sketch. There were so many beautiful cards. I tried to comment on as many as I could! This week it is my dear & super-talented friend Tanja who is hosting and she has a gorgeous sketch for us all. Our sponsor this week is Magnolia-licious!

Over at the Wags ’n Whiskers Challenge it was my turn to pick the challenge. I thought that given the time of the year….a card with traditional Christmas colors (red & green) might be one that we all might NEED to use!

Friday Sketchers - Page 047

I wanted to use Ansley’s Surprise and give it a Christmas theme. All coloring was done with Copic Markers. The gift box and lid were paper-pieced and the background was airbrushed with my Copic system. I added Shimmerz in Sky Blue on the wings and Candlelight on the ribbon. Both these colors and many more are available at Stamp & Create.

Whiff Of Joy Altered Note-Book

Whiff Of Joy - Page 138

Happy Wednesday Everybody! Here is one of the projects that I have been working on. It features one of the new Whiff of Joy Elisabeth Bell images. This is going to be one of my most used stamps! I totally love it and it is so multi-purpose! She would be great on a “thinking of you” card as well as on a recipe book or what I have done, on an altered note-book where you can record your “to-do” lists. Whiff of Joy is having a spectacular 20% off all Christmas & Winter Stamps………..so this beautie is on SALE! Hurry and snatch her up before Katharina runs out of stock!

Whiff Of Joy - Page 139 The image was colored with Copic markers and  then I masked off the image and airbrushed the background. I used two shades of blue-green and then I added a little C1 as a shadow. Using more than one color when you airbrush really creates a gorgeous background. I used my bind-it all to create a cover for the notebook, slipped it through the binding and then glued it down over the rather ugly original front of the notebook. Ta-Da! I just turned a $1 notebook into a cute little gift.

Here is a close-up of the image……I wonder what sweet Willow is planning!

Whiff Of Joy - Page 138

Card Recipe:

  • Stamps: Whiff of Joy Willow Writing Recipes
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: SU Baja Breeze, Scrap DP
  • Coloring: Copic Markers, Copic Airbrushing
  • Embellies: PaperTrey Ribbon
  • Tools: Spellbinders Die, Cuttlebug

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by my little space in blog-land! Stay tuned for a mini-blog candy coming up today or tomorrow!

    Friday Sketchers - Page 046

Happy Friday Everyone! I have another Two-Card-Special for you today, so brace yourself for a long post!

I am hosting the Friday Sketchers Challenge this week. I hope you like the sketch that I have prepared and I really hope you get the chance to try it out and participate in the challenge. We have an amazing prize of TWO adorable stamps from Michelle’s Scrapbooking & More. Thank you so much Michelle, they are gorgeous!

I was in the need of a Magnolia fix so I decided to use one of my favorite stamps for my card. I love this cute stamp “Tilda with Birdcage” and although she isn’t a Christmas stamp, I thought with the right papers and coloring she would be perfect for the holidays! I know that Heidi has this one as well as the brand new Christmas ones at her store: The Stamp Shoppe.

    Wags 'n Whiskers - Page 015

My next card is for the Wags ‘n Whiskers Challenge. This week our diva Tina, chose the theme of buttons. I had my image all colored, the cardstock all cut out and then, horrors, the buttons that I wanted to use were not the right shade of green. EEK! So, I am a very naughty Diva and have added brads instead….they are pretty and the EXACT shade of green. I hope my fellow Divas forgive me, just don’t follow my example….follow the challenge! LOL! I used the sketch from the Create4Fun Challenge. Love all the layers!

    November Angels Landing Blog Hop

Angela's Landing - Page 015 Happy Wednesday and welcome to the November Angels Landing Blog Hop!

I was the Guest Designer for Angels Landing for the month of October and Judi very graciously invited me to join in their November Hop as they release 2 new digital image sets: Polar Bear Cubs and Button Bugs.

So, if you just happened by my blog you have missed the beginning, so head over to Judi's digital stamps blog and follow the links, I don’t want you to miss any of the amazing DT’s creations! There is also some candy along the way, so make sure you visit everyone!

Angela's Landing - Page 015 I decided to create an easel card (aren’t they just the rage lately?) and use one of the adorable polar bear cubs from the set. I cannot believe how cute they are! I set him on top of this gorgeous sentiment which is also part of the set.

I used my copic markers to color the image and airbrush the background. I printed an extra copy of my image on regular paper and cut it out to use as a mask when I was airbrushing. I held it in place with some Scotch Removable tape. I purposely did not make the airbrushing uniform to give the illusion of some clouds in the background. For an extra touch, I painted some Shimmerz on the cub and added some stickles to the icicles and the snowdrifts on the sentiment.

Here is the card opened up…..

    Angela's Landing - Page 016….. and a side view:

    Angela's Landing - Page 014

    • Image: Angels Landing: Polar Bear Cubs
    • Paper: SU! Pacific Point, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi, Imaginisce DP – Polar Expressions
    • Coloring: Copic Markers, Pixie Dust Shimmerz
    • Embellies: Imaginisce Polar Expressions Ribbon, Snowflakes from Michaels

So, now you need to hop on over to Mel’s blog to see some more of the new release.

If by any chance, a link is not working or you get lost along the way (hey it happens to me sometimes), then go and check the master list on Judi's digital stamps blog.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the hop!

Stamp & Create DT Card and Birthday Sale

Stamp & Create - Page 002 Hi Everyone! Happy Tuesday!

Today I want to show you a DT card I made for Stamp & Create. I used the sketch from this week’s Mojo Monday. It is a great one. Love the different layers. The theme of my card is Baby’s First Christmas which fits A Spoonful of Sugar’s Challenge for this week!

Stamp & Create - Page 001This adorable image from Stampavie was in my Stamp & Create DT package. It is such a dream to color. I didn’t use too many colors because I wanted to match the DP. I added Shimmerz (Candlelight) to her dress. It is so stunning and the effect is so easy to create. All you need is a paint brush and the little pot of Shimmerz. I took a picture at another angle so that you can see it better.

    Stamp & Create - Page 002

    • Stamps: My Sweet Lili by Stampavie available at Stamp & Create, Sentiment from Stampin’Up
    • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
    • Paper: SU Chocolate Chip, Cosmo Cricket DP
    • Coloring: Copic Markers, Copic Airbrushing, Candlelight Shimmerz
    • Embellies: SU Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Ruffled Ribbon and Pewter Spacer from Stamp & Create

Oh my gosh! Hurry before she runs out of all her goodies! She carries the bow easy, Shimmerz, stamps from Wags’n Whiskers, High Hopes, The Greeting Farm, Stampavie, and Kraftin’ Kimmie. That is just naming a few things! Check it out at Stamp & Create! I don’t want you to miss out! I have linked all the items that I used in my card so you can find them easily!

    The Stamp Shoppe

Magnolias - Page 080Hi Everyone!  I am so happy today! Living in Canada, especially since I am in Québec, it is often a little harder to get my crafting goodies. I sometimes have problems getting my beloved Magnolia stamps. So I was really interested to find out about a new store dedicated to having fair and competitive prices alongside a real commitment to excellent customer service.

The Stamp Shoppe is a Canadian on-line store selling all things Magnolia. They ship to Canada & the US! They were having a DT call and I applied and I am so excited because they have asked me to be part of the design team. You all know how I love Magnolias so you must also know how happy I am today!

I thought I would show you one of the cards that I submitted for the DT call.  I used my copics to color and did a little distressing on my DP which is from My Mind’s Eye. The pearls and snowflakes were part of the stash that I picked up last week at Michaels.Magnolias - Page 080

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by. To my dear friends who leave such sweet comments, I send you a big hug. You really make my day!
