Cowgirl Tilda and Stamps for Sale
Happy Wednesday! Well, the weeks are flying by and the Canada geese have started to fly south. The kids love to see their V-formations flying overhead and hear them calling to each other. For me, it truly means that Autumn is in full swing. The trees have already started to change colors and there is a definite crispness to the air. I love Autumn!
My card today features one of the sweet images from the Bon Voyage collection. As I was coloring this sweetie up, I starting thinking about the Magnolia Fall Stamp Kit. I ordered it awhile ago and am wondering if it will soon be shipped out?! Does anyone know?
My little Tilda was colored to match my yummy designer paper. Yet some more SU! paper that I have been hoarding. I am afraid that I have gone a little crazy with this color palette lately and so you will be seeing a lot of it in the next week or so! LOL! The sentiment is from Verve Stamps :Blue Skies set that I won a few weeks back over at the Mojo Monday challenge. I was thrilled that they chose my card as one of the winning ones!
I have followed the wonderful sketch over at Just Magnolia challenge. It is a wonderful one and I know that I am going to be using it again.
Stamps for Sale:
If you check under my “For Sale” tab at the top of my blog, you will see that I have several stamps and stamp sets listed for sale. I just have soooo many stamps and as much as I love them, I know that I probably will not be inking them up again. It is a little painful to let them go but I would rather someone uses them than for them to sit neglected on my shelves. I have listed a price beside each and if you are interested, just email me jeanettecomerford(at)sympatico(dot)ca and I will get you a shipping quote for you to add to the price. I don’t believe that it will cost overly much to ship. I will ship internationally and I would like to be paid through PayPal.
Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your support!

High Hopes Challenge
Happy Tuesday! Thanks for swinging by today! I have my card for this week’s High Hopes Challenge to show you. Lacey has created a wonderful sketch for us all to play with!
It is the Birthday of our High Hopes Blog and so this week our prize is EXTRA special! There will be 3 large prizes to celebrate the blog's birthday so I hope you will get the chance to participate!
I have used the sweet new image Mouse Tails and for a change, I colored it up using Prismacolors and OMS. It is a bit of a softer look than using copics. The designer paper is from Cosmo Cricket’s Material Girl paper pack and the ribbon is from SU! I haven’t added a sentiment yet but I picture something going across the red checked circle!

Sketch Saturday
Happy Saturday to you all! Thank you for stopping by my little blog today. I have my card for this week’s Sketch Saturday to show you!
I inked up another one of the Tildas from the Bon Voyage Collection. I colored her using the colors from my patterned paper as inspiration. The paper is from Kaiser Crafts Lush Collection . The little scrolls on the side were made using a Cuttlebug die and the scallops were made using a Martha Stewart border punch and the ribbon and filigree brad are both from Stampin’ Up.
That is it for me! I hope you have a great weekend and don’t forget you still have a few more days to participate in my Explosion Box challenge to win a Whiff of Joy stamp! You can find the link to that post at the top left of my side-bar!

Double Challenge Friday
Be sure to check out all the samples that my fellow DT sisters have created for your inspiration. As always they have totally rocked it!
I used the very sweet Toby’s Big Day for my card and went with a standard A2 format for a change. The pearls are Martha Stewart and I used Diamond Stickles to meet the diamond requirement! The paper is some very old SU! that I still have in my stash and am trying to use up.

Stamp & Create Product Spotlight & High Hopes Challenge
Happy Tuesday! I am a little behind in my postings. My little guy fell in the school yard yesterday morning and hit his head quite hard. I took him to the ER and there we were for 6 hours. He is perfectly fine. No concussion or ills effects and the nasty bump has gone down considerably. It was very scary but thankfully he is fine.
Boys. There is never a dull moment with them. I hope that my post makes sense because I AM sleep-deprived after waking Mr Magoo every two hours to make sure he was alright.
This week, the product Spotlight over at Stamp & Create is the adorable stamps by Crafters Companion called: SWALK. They are really very sweet and I love the whimsical look to them.
That means all SWALK stamps will be on sale 25% off through Sunday. What a great deal! Here is my sample card:
I used the SWALK stamp Old Friend. I colored up the image with my copic markers and added Diamond stickles to the flower centers. I created the bow using the Bow Easy and this wonderful Olive Silk Ribbon. A couple of Prima Flowers were the final touch. The inside of the card has the rest of the sentiment which reads" to grow an old friend". I forgot to take a photos :(
If you haven’t already entered, click the above banner to enter the drawing for the Birthday Candy!!
My next card is for this week’s High Hopes Challenge which is “country”. I took the opportunity to ink up and color this sweet bovine couple “American Cowthic” and almost died laughing as I added this hilarious sentiment “Love One An-Udder”!
I had already colored up my image over the weekend so last night I literally whipped this card together! I used some Nestie Labels dies, the paper is from Basic Grey Nook & Pantry which you can find ~here~ and the gingham ribbon can be found ~here~.
I hope you can find the time to join our challenge! The random winner of this challenge can chose 3 High Hopes stamps of their choice!!! Not 1 but 3!!!

Sketch Saturday…a day late
Happy Sunday! I am just getting round to posting my card for this week’s Sketch Saturday! We had a busy Friday and Saturday, but better late than never! LOL!
I inked up this WoJ Henry Mouse cutie. Isn’t he just the most adorable mouse? I love him to bits and also have a fun time coloring him up. The sentiment is also WoJ and comes along with another stamp. Click on the pictures below that are linked to where you can get them! Once again, I have used old SU! patterned paper but the cardstock is from the new colors that SU! have just released. I really love them: Pear Pizzaz and Poppy Parade. The ribbon is Pear Pizzaz 1/2” stitched. Love this one too.
Whiff of Joy is having a special sale as well as a Guest Designer call. Just click on them and they are linked for you!
That is it for me now. I have to take son #2 to his hockey goaler try-out to see which division he will be placed in!
Hugs Jeanette

High Hopes Challenge ~ Spots & Dots
Happy Tuesday! Hope your week is off to a great start! The weather is turning quite cool so I am going to have to get cracking if I want to harvest my basil leaves and make some pesto! This year, my basil plants grew to gargantuan proportions and we had fresh basil all summer long. Yum. I just love it. Today I am going to take pretty much the rest of it and turn it into pesto that I will freeze into tiny cubes to use all fall and winter long.
The High Hopes Challenge has moved to another day ~ Tuesdays! This week our challenge was given to us my the very sweet Debby is spots and dots and I knew right away what I wanted to do!
I colored this super sweet snowman “Snowman’s Cup of Love” based on the colors of my DP (again retired SU!) and then added the spotted background using the same colors. I just love the effect it gives! To make my snowman “pop” I outlined him with my C1 marker. The ribbon is my Papertrey gingham. I just have a sweet spot for gingham!
I hope that you will get the chance to participate in our challenge! The random winner of this challenge can chose 3 High Hopes stamps of their choice!!! Not 1 but 3!!!

Birthdays ~ Stamp & Create Product Spotlight
This week Lacey’s amazing and wonderful store: Stamp & Create turns ONE! What better spotlight this week than the theme of “birthdays”! All birthday related stamps will be 25% off.
I decided to use one of my favorite Whiff of Joy stamps: the adorable Melinda Blowing Kisses. It is from one of the older collections but I do so love her and it was fun to ink her up again and color her! I chose my Copic Sketch markers to match the October Afternoon Fly a Kite designer paper. The sentiment is from Verve Stamps and I used the SU! Top Notes die to cut it out. I lightly sponged around the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink. I wanted to keep my card simple and so the only other addition was to use the bow-easy and some gorgeous ivory silk ribbon to create a big bow
To celebrate Stamp & Create’s birthday, Lacey has a pretty amazing candy!
She is giving away a $50.00 gift certificate to Stamp and Create!! To enter, please become a follower of our blog, then sign up to the link in this post.
The candy will be open until Sunday Night. The winner will be announced next Monday.
I just want to congratulate my dear friend Lacey on the 1st birthday of her incredible store! It is incredible to be part of your DT and to be able to work with such fine and talented people as well as the BEST stamping products! Girl, you taste is impeccable and you are a joy to work with!
Have a great day everyone. I have a bunch of DT things to get ready so I am hoping to devote a nice chunk of time to that today!

One Card/Two Looks ~ Sketch Saturday Week #120
Happy Saturday! Once again it is time to show you the card I made for the Sketch Saturday Challenge. Our wonderful sponsor this week is:
For my card, I used one of Motivet Stamps’ new releases. It is a wonderful scenery stamp called “Old Tree Scenery” and it was so much fun to color in! After I colored it up with my sketch markers, I lightly dabbed at the leaves in the trees with a piece of cloth and some colorless blender. This gave it such a great textured look. The sentiment is by Verve stamps and I used a Papertrey die and stamp set to create the fun tag. The paper is OLD Stampin’ Up. I loved this series of DP so much that when it became available a while back as a special clearance item , I bought two more packs! I have decided to stop hoarding it and use it! LOL!
At the back of my mind as I was creating this card, I was thinking that this would make an awesome background to one of the new Magnolia Bon Voyage stamps. I think that these two stamps are a match made in heaven and I bet that many of our cute little Tildas would look magical with this background!
So, hence my title “One card/Two Looks”. Thanks for stopping by today. I so very much appreciate that people come and take a look at my little creations! Have a great weekend!

My Double Challenge Friday!
Happy Friday! The week just whizzed by! the kids are settling into school and the family is getting into a nice routine! So far, so good! I think next week will be the true test as they will start up their music lessons and hockey as well.
My first card today is for the Friday Sketchers Challenge and dear Jacque has provided us with a phenomenal sketch! Very simple yet so many ways to interpret it!
I used another Sweet November stamp (can you tell how much I {heart} these? This one is Baby Trick or Treat Witch and I got her from Stamp & Create ~ here~. I paired her up with this Magnolia sentiment that was part of their Halloween collection last year. I did a little sponging to make it match my patterned paper which is all left-over from last year. My card was looking a little plain so I added some SU brads to the corners and then made some fancy swirls with my Tim Holtz die. I remembered to take a picture of the markers I used:
Be sure to check out all the samples that my fellow DT sisters have created for your inspiration. Our wonderful sponsor this week is 7kids college fund.
Aud, Bea, Carole, Claudia, Tanja, Jacque, Jacqueline, Janneke, Inge
We hope you will be able to play along and post your own creation on the Friday Sketcher blog.
My second card is for the Wags ‘n Whiskers Challenge. This week we are challenged to use Fall colors. I wanted to ink up one of the older releases and chose this very sweet image; Snuzzle Love which is available ~here~. The first thing I did was to choose my paper. I decided to use Cosmo Cricket’s Earth love because the colors were perfect for a fall theme. Then I picked out some Copic Sketch markers that matched the DP! This is not a color palette which I have ever used but I am really pleased with the way it turned out. The final touches were this gorgeous Magnolia blossom and my very favorite ribbon: May Arts Silk. It is so gorgeous and I love the luxurious feel of it!
This wonderful sketch is from this week’s Papertake Challenge!
We have a wonderful prize up for grabs as usual so I hope you will find a little pocket of time this week to join us in this Fall challenge!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Just for fun
Happy Thursday! Today I have a card that I made just for the pure fun of it! That’s right. I didn’t follow any challenge…I just stamped colored and went with the flow.
I fell in love with this sweet Tilda from the Bon Voyage collection and I was finally able to ink her up. I loved the fact that I had the Magnolia tree stamp image that they have used on their DP. So fun! Tilda was colored with copic markers, masked and then airbrushed. Then I stamped the tree a few times making sure to place the branches to create a nice look. I used Cryogen paper to color on and then added more glitter with some twinkling H20s and sakura pens. You can see the effect in the picture below which was taken with a different camera angle:

this card is up for auction over at eBay ~here~
Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate your wonderful visits. Until tomorrow!

My Turn to Host Sketch Saturday
Happy Saturday! I hope that your weekend is off to a fantastic start. We have a wedding today, a birthday party for my little nephew tomorrow and on Monday we are “doing our tomatoes”. My neighbour and I can 10 bushels every year and then have delicious sauce for the rest of the year! What are your plans?
Today it is my turn to host the Sketch Saturday Challenge. I am super excited to share my little sketch with you and also let you know that Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps is sponsoring my week! Whoo Hoo! Kimmie is going to give the winner three stamps of their choice! What a great prize!
To top off my excitement, I also get to choose and invite a guest designer for the month of September! I am so happy that my good friend, the incredibly sweet and amazingly talented Inge agreed to be our guest!
Without further ado, here is my little sketch. I hope you like it :)
Here is my card featuring one of Kraftin’Kimmie’s Moonlight Whispers stamps: Emelia
The little airplane comes with the stamp and is perfect to add as a little embellishment. I added some felt that I cut into the shape of clouds behind the plane itself. The paper is all old SU! which I have in my stash and I love the fall colors. They inspired my color palette for the image. The sentiment is from an old Verve Stamps set. I just love their gorgeous fonts and inspirational sentiments. I got my stamp from Lacey’s store Stamp & Create.
So, I hope you will find a little pocket of time this week to join our challenge and try out my sketch. If you only knew how nerve-wracking I find it to create a sketch!
Please pop over to the Sketch Saturday Blog. Dear Kimmie also found some time to make a card for the challenge. You can see her card and Inge’s as well as the rest of the SS DT. We also are welcoming some new members to our team. I’m not telling you who….just come on over and be ready to be INSPIRED!
Thanks for stopping by!
