Happy, Happy Friday! I have been busy all week getting all my DT cards ready so if you were wondering why I didn’t post as much this week, well, you’ll be seeing ALOT of cards very soon! As it is today is a double post!
I also am up to date with my commenting. WooHoo…. I love visiting your blogs and leaving some “love”.
This week it is the very sweet and lovely Jacque’s turn to host the Friday Sketchers Challenge and she has (as always) created the “perfect” sketch. We are being sponsored this week by Stamp & Create which is my good friend Lacey’s store. If you have never stopped by…..what are you waiting for?!? She stocks a variety of the cutest and most popular stamps as well as all the very best tools and supplies to ensure that your card is a masterpiece! I get ALOT of my supplies from her because she also has the very best prices. Now, I am also on her Design Team but you know me, if I endorse something it is because I truly love and believe in it! Look at what Lacey is offering!
My card today features two stamps from Magnolia’s Raising the Ceiling collection. I know that Heidi will be ordering these for her store The Stamp Shoppe as soon as she can. I made this card for my little eight-year old son. He is taking piano lessons and loves to play…..the songs…….practicing the scales with both hands………not so much. So I am giving him this card to remind him that the “key” to success is to practice that which he loves as well as that which he finds tedious.
- Stamps: Magnolia Raising the Ceiling collection (available soon -->here<—)
- Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
- Paper: SU Chocolate Chip, DP is all from my scrap drawer
- Coloring: Copic Markers
- Embellies: Key was a gift from Katharina, Keyhole and letters from The Stamp Shoppe, twill ribbon from stash.
Here is the sketch:
Be sure to check out all the samples that my fellow DT sisters have created for your inspiration. We hope you will be able to play along and post your own creation on the Friday Sketcher blog. You will notice that we have a new look and a new blog that will be just for our sketches. You will be able to refer to it whenever you are stuck for a card layout! All this was brought about by our dear Claudia who worked so hard this week! Thanks Sweetie. We really appreciate all that you do!

My second card is for the Wags ‘n Whiskers Challenge. This week we ask that you put a heart somewhere on your card. As usual, they is a yummy prize for someone lucky. Just remember that you need to have a least one WnW stamp on your card to be eligible.
For my card, I have used the sweet stamp . I added Glossy accents to the heart-shaped bubbles to make them look real and the effect is fun! The hearts on either side of the image were made with CM punches and I added some Stickles to make them shimmer.
- Stamps: Wags ‘n Whiskers Stamps available -->here<--
- Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
- Paper: SU Pink Pirouette, DP Pink Paislee
- Coloring: Copic Makers ( sorry I forgot to take a picture of them)
- Embellies: Ribbon from $ Store
Please check the gorgeous cards that the Divas have created for your inspiration and I hope you will get the chance to join us and share your card on the Wags ‘s Whiskers Challenge blog!

I would love to make him a card like this! I must get my hands on that piano! It is from magnolia then right, from an upcoming collection?

Cards are gorgeous Jeanette! The Edwin card is such a wonderful idea for your son. I am always looking for ways to inspire my girls - that doesn't involve bribery lol - to keep practicing the piano as they too do not enjoy the scales. I'm sure your son will love the card. Colouring and details on both cards just fabulous. Have a great weekend. Hugs, Maria
Your cards are so beautiful! And I really love this cutest Edwin :) Great Work!
Big Hugs Tanja
