Happy Monday! I hope that it is indeed a happy day for you. The world is a crazy place at the moment but I try to find the happiness that everyday brings. I hope you are able to do the same ;)
Today marks another mini release for Whimsy Stamps and I found a pocket of happiness in creating this card!
The new Fern Background Stamp was the starting off point of my card. I stamped it with a dark green ink onto some olive-green cardstock. To create some dimension I then used the FaDoodles Framed Scalloped Rectangles Set to cut out the fern background. I then used the same colour of cardstock and diecut the scalloped rectangles many more times so that I could adhere them together to get varying heights onto my card. You can see that dimension a wee bit better in the image below:
Finally, I chose a sweet digital image that was part of the Love for Australia set that was made as part of a Whimsy fundraiser earlier this year. I can't find it on the site now and I am afraid that it may have been a limited set. My apologies but you can certainly find some great digital stamps or clear or rubber from Whimsy that would also look great with this backdrop. Or, hopefully you were one of those who purchased the set and helped raise money and you already have it!!!
