Happy Monday! Today I have a new card (made for my awesome little sister for her birthday) and 2 videos for you! Let’s get right to it!
This new image is part of Whimsy’s February 2016 release and is illustrated by Sylvia Zet (she is fabulous) and is called Little Helper. That little critter is way to cute and I just love the expression on both of their faces. I colored the image up with Copic Markers and created the background with Prismacolor pencils. You can see all that process in the first video below.
To create the actual card, I actually strayed from by original idea which was to create a shaker card. As I was making it, I realized that adding the shaker component along with those snowflakes and scripted love word might make my card a little too busy and overwhelming. So, I decided to just leave it as a recessed window instead. I think that this lets the image and die-cuts shine on their own.
