Happy Wednesday! If you follow me on Instagram (you can find me
HERE as
inkspots) then you might have seen a sneak peek of this next project.
I made a quick copic coloring video using the soon to be
released Whimsy Frog Prince which is illustrated by the fabulous Sylvia Zet.
Such a cute and sweet image and the accompanying sentiments made me laugh out
loud the first time I saw them.
I used Copic Markers to color the image as well as to create the
dot background. If you want a more comprehensive video featured the dot
technique, just leave a message below and I will get one made :)
I stamped the image and the sentiments onto Neehah Solar Crest
White cardstock. After coloring, I cut it to measure 3.25” x 4.75”. I sponged
the edges with Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers Distress inks and then added
white dots with a Sharpie White Poster Paint pen. I also darkened the eye with a
Black Wink of Stella gitter pen and added white highlights using a White Gel
pen. I cut a mat using Neenah measuring 3.5” x 5.) and my cardbase measures the
standard A2 size at 4.25” x 5.5”. I used a green cardstock from Stampin’ Up but
I no longer have the packaging so I am not sure of the cardstock name.
With such a whimsical image, I thing the dot technique pairs
really well with it. I have to remember to use it more often.
