Happy Monday! I hope you are keeping those January blahs at bay! I had the chance to finish up a project that I started in December to put in my December Daily album. I hope to get that completed soon ;) There is just always something else more pressing!
I did a little mixing and matching with product lines. There is some MFT, Mama Elephant and some Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. They ended up working together so well and I love this original little scene I was able to create.
To create my card, I cut a piece of Neehah solar crest white cardstock to measure 4.25 x 5.5”. This is a basic A2 size. I then cut another piece of Neehah to measure 3.37 x 5.0” which I used to create my background. More on that later.
I then used more Neenah cardstock to stamp and die cut the girl image which is from MFT’s Warmest Wishes stamp and die sets, the trees, squirel and ornaments which are from Lawn Fawn’s Joy to the Woods stamp and die sets, and the snowbank which was created with Mama Elephant’s Landscape trio die set.
To create the background, I sponged the cardstock with 3 different inks. I started with at the bottom with SSS Wisteria ink, then I added some Hero Arts Soft Pool blending towards the middle. and then added SSS Scuba working it upwards to the top of the cardstock. I added the snow with a white Sharpie Poster Paint pen. I love how opaque and clear it is.
The coloring of the images was done with Copic Markers and I will have them listed and linked below. A couple of little touches that added a big impact (for me anyway!) was the addition of Clear Wink of Stella to the ornaments, using a Gold Metallic pen to go over the string in the trees and stamping the little footprints from the Lawn Fawn set in Soft Pool ink.
Love, love how this turned out and I love being able to stretch my stamps by mixing and matching to get new and unique looks.
