Happy late Tuesday :) I am off early tomorrow to help out with a school field trip so I thought I would post this tonight instead of tomorrow morning :)
I am so loving shaker cards these days. They are so much fun to make and they look stunning. The base of the shaker is made using two sizes of stitched rectangle dies (mine are from Lawn Fawn) I colored up a digital image from Funky Kits. They have so many sweet ones! This one is called Hey Little Birdie.
I wanted my card to feel like a fresh early Spring day. Sort of like the days we are having over here. Sunny but still a little nippy :) The image was colored with Copic markers and the background was sponged on with Distress inks. I think the sequins that create the shake portion of my shaker card look quite nice paired up with the image. I bought these sequins over at the local $ store. Quite the bargain :)
I have taken some photos at different angles and in different states of being shaken!
I am cutting this a little close to the wire but I did see that Sugar Nellie is having a DT call and thought I would enter and keep my wee fingers crossed. If you would like to try out as well, you have until April 30th to enter. Just click the logo above and you will be taken to the correct post.
Thanks so much for swinging by and have a lovely day/evening :)
