Happy Monday everyone! Hope your week-end was a lovely relaxing one :) The end of Summer count-down has commenced at our house….school starts in a little under two weeks :(
Today I have a preview of one of Whiff of Joy’s August Release stamps. This is called Kiss the Cook and features Henry as a cute little chef. I decided to create a long envelope to tuck in my recipe for chocolate chip cookies. It basically is the Original Chipit recipe that is right there on the package and I just changed it up to use real butter and I also bake it at a lower temperature for a little longer to get that nice chewy, soft texture. Anyways, one friend swears that I must do something else different because hers don’t come out like mine, so I have written out exactly what I do for her. Of course, I took the opportunity to fancy it up a little and I think this is a sweet way to present it, don’t you?
The envelope was cut using a Kerri Bradford file and my Silhouette SD. Love the versatility of this and the sturdiness of creating my envelope out of Kraft cardstock. I used a WoJ clear background stamp and stamped these white dots onto the front of the envelope. I added the image, a tag cut with a WoJ metal die and some twine and flowers to the front. Here you can see the nice shape of the flap folded over onto the back:
Since I had the recipe out, I went ahead and made some cookies….the boys had their friends over and these vanished pretty quickly. I had to grab some to have in my picture! LOL!
The image will be available as of Friday August 17th and here are the rest of the product links for you:
Enjoy! Other DT members will start their preview too, so don’t forget to take a look at their blog. You will find their links on my side-bar.
Have a good day!
