Just Magnolia & Friday Sketchers # 109

Happy Friday! TGIF! We have a fun weekend lined up and gorgeous weather is predicted so I am a happy girl! I also have lots of fun stuff to show you today.

I was asked by the lovely Bev if I would mind sharing my video tutorial for “criss-cross pocket cards” on the Just Magnolia Challenge blog and be their featured stamper. ACK! I feel off my chair and then of course emailed her back to agree! Here is the card I created:

 

 

I fell in love with this tender image the first time I saw it and the rose arch is the perfect background stamp to create a beautiful scene. I stamped it, colored it and then masked it so I could softly air-brush some color. I added stickles to the inner parts of the roses and the top of Tilda’s veil. Her dress and the rest of the veil were painted with shimmerz. The arch is quite a large stamp so this type of pocket card is ideal for it. I didn’t add an image to the front part of the card. Instead I dressed it up with some gorgeous lace, ribbon and prima flowers!

I have another Magnolia card to share with you today. This one is for the Friday Sketchers Challenge. The amazingly talented and super sweet Inge has prepared the sketch for us this week and of course it is a stunner with many layers! I had so much fun working on my card!

I just smile when I see this cheeky little Tilda and this fun barrel, skull and anchor stamp. Tilda looked a little funny sitting on just the one barrel. She is a little bit too big and you really couldn’t see too much of the barrel so I stamped it out one more time and added the extra barrel to my scene.
