Today it is my turn to post on the Whiff of Joy Tutorials & Inspiration blog. I chose to do a coloring tutorial on combining two mediums: Copic Markers & Prismacolor Pencils/Gamsol.
It is a fun technique and I have been receiving questions about it so I thought it would be a good choice. You will find my tutorial here. I really hope it answers some of your questions and you will find it helpful (and I really hope it makes sense too. LOL!)
Of course, I just knew I had to use one of the new WOJ Christmas Gnomes by our new illustrator Norma Fickel. They are perfect for this technique.
What I will show you now is the finished card. I used my oval nesties to cut it out and stamped the WOJ Christmas swirls around the edges. It is our own Sonja that created them and they add such a touch of magic! I then lightly sponged the edges in the same ink. In the end, after coloring the baubles in the trees so carefully, I ended up covering them with some bling. My cards tend to sometimes have a life of their own!

- Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
- Paper: SU! Baja Breeze, Red Riding Hood, MME (last year’s)
- Coloring: Copic Markers, Prismacolor & Gamsol
- Embellies: May Arts Ribbon, Bling from stash

This is such a wonderful card. I really enjoyed your tutorial. It's amazing to see all of the different mediums used on coloring. I always wondered how the pencils worked.
