When I saw WOJ's Mediviel Release I was so excited because my middle son LOVES knights, dragons, castles, etc. I knew that these stamps would be perfect to make a card for his upcoming 8th birthday.
It has been in the back of my mind for a little while now to create a card for him that he can "interact" with. I often make my kids little cards and such and my son once said that he wished he could play with the figures. So, I thought that I could use magnets to allow him to take the images off the paper and play with them!
When I saw Katharina's gorgeous sketch for her Guest DT try-out, I began planning this in my mind. I received my stamps last week but today was the first chance I had to ink them up!
My images were colored with a combination of copic markers, primas &OMS and sakura glitter pen. I glued them down to some sturdy paper and then cut them out and attached a magnet dot to the back. When I assembled the card, I put the matching magnet dot underneath the DP so that the image would stick.
The Knight is on a little flap card that stays closed because of the sentiment (also WOJ) which is attached with a round dimensional. When you open the flap you see the dragon..who actually looks like he is pretty sweet.
Here you can see both images are off the card
I glued my DP to a sheet of magnetic paper (from the office store) and that is adhered to the base. Now my son has a little scene to play with the images.
Here you can see the full card opened up ready for my birthday greetings for a very special & sweet little boy.
I think I will probably make him the Princess, castle and juggler as well. I know he is going to love this.
So, I will enter this for the GDT call and keep my fingers crossed! Have a lovely day everyone and I hope you get the chance to get a little inky!
