The challenge this week for "A Spoonful of Sugar" was to have torn paper. This is not something I do very often. Probably because I end up wasting a lot of paper when my tearing goes awry!
I bravely decided to give it a go and as you see, I managed to do a little tearing there at the bottom! I used one of the Sugar Nellie stamps that I received in my DT package. The artist is Mary Hall and this stamp is called "Gone Fishing". It was such fun to color and I have one more by her that I hope to ink up this week. They are so sweet - I may have to buy the rest of them....oh oh another sugar addiction!
I used copic markers to color the image and then masked it and airbrushed the background. I went over the water area with another color and used my sakura stardust pen to add a little sparke on the water and the fishing lines. I went easy on the embellies as this is more a "boy" card but I couldn't resist adding the a few bits with my Martha Stewart leaf punch. The paper is all from my scrap drawer.....it is still quite full....I do believe it is magical!
Thank you to everyone for your wonderful comments of congratulations! Everyone has been so kind and it has been fun sharing the news with you. You all get "it" in a way that no one else can!
