Stamp & Create Product Spotlight & LLLC Inspiration

Happy Monday Everyone! Once again we start a new week! We had a really busy, busy week last week and I am pretty tired heading into this week. One of my son’s had a Hockey Tournament over the week-end. Actually, his first game was on Friday morning and it was out of town. Two and a half hours away to be exact. He missed a day of school because of it. I was not too keen on the idea but he is the goalie…he can’t not be there. We thought about pulling the other two out of school too so that we could make it a family week-end trip but in the end, the oldest had exams and he would miss one of his ski group outings, we stayed home. I didn’t have too much time on the computer so I am turning this into a double card posting!

First up in my card for this week’s Stamp & Create Product Spotlight which is:

Love / Valentine’s Day

That means that everything in this category will be up to 25% off!

Tilda & Edwin Valentine

I created a Valentine's Day card using this sweet Magnolia Couple from the new Sweet Crazy Love collection: Cuddly Siblings. I colored the image with Copic Markers and then I added some chalk to create a fast and simple background. I love the softness that is so easily achieved by using chalk. I used a Scalloped Spellbinders Circle and a Cherry Lynn doily die cut to frame the image.

To embellish my card I used some delicate Pink Wrinked ribbon as well as a little Heart charm. The detail on the left-hand-side of the card was created with a MS punch. The papers were all bits & bobs left over in my scrap drawers. It is last year’s MME Lost & Found Collection. Iadhered all the panels of mycard together with super strong Scor-Pal tape. It is my favorite adhesive.

Her you can see that I decorated the inside of my cards as well. The sentiment is from a Technique Tuesdays Ali Edwards stamp set and I stamped it with Jenni Bowlin Cough Syrup ink. Don’t you just LOVE the names of her inks? I stamped the Magnolia image once again but this time with Memento London Fog. I like how it is a more muted version of the front of the card.

I am going to enter this card in this week’s Just Magnolia & Hanglar’s challenge which is anything goes and an option for a Valentine’s Card!

My next card is the one that I created for La-La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday last week. I just wasn’t able to create my blog post in time :) At least I made it to our blog! Our theme was Kraft and Faux stitching.

Tulip Marci

I used the newly released Marci with Tulip stamp. I think she is such a gorgeous image. Her hair is so much fun to color. Again, I used some old paper scraps. This time from Stampin’ Up. I can’t recall the collection but it is OLD! THe button is also SU! Sorry, I can’t find the paper where I kept a list of the colors that I used :(

Please visit the LLLC blog for more inspiration and don’t forget, we would love to see your La-La Land creations so just link them up to the Customer Gallery and you could be in with a chance to win a prize.

That is it for me for now **Smile** I have a bunch of new cards to show you along with some exciting sneak peeks so please stop by again tomorrow and the rest of the week!

Have a great day!
