Inspiration Friday ~ Autumn Colors

***please scroll down one post to see my card for Tickled Pink’s Pink ribbon campaign***

Happy Friday!  I have been working like crazy for all the upcoming releases that are happening. Not that I am complaining about all the gorgeous images that I have had the pleasure to work with but my house is going to need some serious tidying up! I will be having multiple posts going up in the next few days so there will be lots to see!

Here is my card for this week’s LaLa Land Craft’s  Friday Inspiration . Our inspiration this week is:

Autumn Colours

307059_156347684456003_100002423164013_288269_2096659285_n[1]

I have used the adorable Cowboy Luka and paired it up with some paper from Pink Paislee’s School collection. Just love the rich, warm color palette in this pad. I added a few sentiments from Whiff of Joy’s sentiment set:  They were just perfect for the theme of this card.

TP Hope copy

This is Lil Pinkette Hope. I made a very simple card and thought that this lovely image and the pink silk ribbon were really enough adornment. The blank space on the card she is holding would be a perfect place to add a special message don’t you think? Maybe just one word.

I hope that you will join Kellie and Tickled Pink stamps in supporting this very important cause with the purchase of one of the new Pink Ribbon Release images. There are two more to follow and some sentiments as well!

Sketch Saturday # 174

Happy Saturday my dear friends! Today I have my card for this week’s Sketch Saturday and I was delighted that my order from SCACD came so quickly! I was able to use one the new stamps that I bought.  This is called Princess and is illustrated by the very talented Sylvia Zet.

SCACD Girl and horse copy

***this card is available for purchase now and will be added to my ebay store later this week***

I knew that I wanted to create a Christmas card with this image so I pulled out my new Bo Bunny Father Christmas paper pad and chose my papers and from them I drew my color palette and marker choices. After I colored her with my Copics, I added a slight shadow with a Prisma color pencil (Sand) and added some sponging to the edges of the circle with Distress Ink (Antique Linen)

I did a little machine stitching around the edges of one paper and them added some pretty roses and leaves that were cut out from my paper scraps using a Martha Stewart punch. The ribbon is from Stampin’ Up and I added a Whiff of Joy pearl brad to the center. I think it really adds a fun touch to the ribbon and it ties in with the pearls that I added to the corners of the second paper matted square.

Here is the lovely sketch for you to follow for our Sketch Saturday Challenge. We are being sponsored by The Craft Barn. They are such an amazing company and so generous with us!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a chance to get a little inky today!

LaLa Land Crafts Inspiration Friday ~ Embossing Dry or Heat

Happy Friday! Once again it is time to show you my take on  La-Land Land Crafts Inspiration Friday.

Every Monday and Friday La-La Land Crafts new Design Team will be bringing you a new inspirational theme. You are more than welcome to play along as we would love to see your creations with La-La Land Craft stamps. Please link your projects to our Customer Gallery.

This week the challenge is to use Embossing: dry or heat whichever you prefer. I chose to use heat emboss the sentiment for my card. I love how this looks on this simple banner.

Fireman Luka copy

My card was made using sweet Fireman Luka. Such a fun boy stamp and as you can see by my sentiment, this card is destined to me a birthday card for a little guy!  The papers were all scraps from my scrap drawer that were perfect for a whimsical card. To keep the card from being too plain, I added that silver brad to the corner as well as paper pierced my two smaller rectangles. I will be teaching with this image next week over at Scrapbook Centrale!

Hope you enjoyed our fun challenge. We hope to see your cards in the customer gallery. Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp & Create Product Spotlight & Blog Candy

Happy Monday! The sun is shining, my kidlets are off at school and I am taking a break from my laundry and cleaning to write my post! We had such a fun and action packed weekend and I have a ton of photos to go through from our Apple Picking outing. It was a wonderful day and the apples were crisp and delicious. Now we have a humongous bag to go through but I have a feeling it won’t take long!

My card for today features one of my most favorite crafting tool: The Bow Easy . If you don’t have one, believe me, you need one and this week they are on sale at 25 % off over at Stamp and Create! Honestly, it will change your world! LOL!

Greeting Farm copy

I used the sweet Blush Bonnie stamp form The Greeting Farm for my card.  I love her wavy long hair. It was so much fun to color! I paired her with paper from a Kaiser Crafts Class of '87 paper pad and a luxurious silk bow made with May Arts Ribbon and the Bow Easy. That bow literally took less than a minute to make and there was no fiddling about with it aftewards either!

Greeting Farm tag out copy

Here is another picture. Sorry the color seems to be a bit off. I’m not sure why. The first picture is a true representation of the colors in real life. I wanted to show you the little card that I made using a combination of PTI stamps and Technique Tuesday(the words). A fun little addition to this school-themed card!

This week, the Stamp and Create Candy is:

The candy will end on Sunday, Sept 25th at 7pm EST .  In order to enter the candy, you must post the Stamp and Create Store's banner in the sidebar of your blog and link it to: http://www.stampandcreate.com/...

That is it for me. My break is over and I have a few more things on today’s to-do list. Then I can start coloring some new images that I just received! WooHoo!

Wee Witch Hazel

Happy Sunday! I know! Another post from me! I told you I have been busy. Today’s card is another Halloween-themed one and I have used on of Wee Stamps’ digital images. The minute I saw this one, I knew I had to have it and I literally had it within a few minutes through the magic of my computer and the ease of digital stamps! Don’t get me wrong, I really still do prefer rubber stamps but you can’t beat digis for instant gratification. Here she is:

Wee Hazel Witch full copy

Wee Witch Hazel was colored with Copic Sketch Markers and then I created a very light shadow around her using a Prismacolor pencil crayon (Sand) and some OMS. The ground was created with a Cool Grey pencil crayon. I sponged the image panel with some Peeled Paint distress ink. The pattern paper is from Basic Grey’s Eerie paper pack. Since I printed the image up fairly large, there wasn’t really too much room to add a whole bunch of embellishments without covering up too much of the DP so I searched through my stash to find this Fancy Pants transparency. It was just absolutely the perfect finishing touch!

I did take a photo prior to adding the transparency so you can see the image more completely:

Wee Hazel Witch copy

This gorgeous image is illustrated by Sylvia Zet and can be found at here online store: Wee’s Stamps

SCACD also has a new release of Sylvia’s images in RUBBER format! I ordered them and they are on their way. I can’t wait to use them. You can find them here: Sylvia Zet for SCACD.

I am going to enter my card in the following challenges:

Have a lovely day and thanks so much for stopping by. I know I haven’t been leaving comments on your blogs…it doesn’t mean I don’t care….I just have been super busy. It is a real catch 22 sometimes :) Anyhoo….thanks for your support!

Pink {Ink} Sketch

Here is my second post for today! We have a new challenge up at Pink {Ink} Sketch challenge as well as our winner and top 3!

LIL Christmas Willow copy

I have used another of the new release from Tickled Pink Stamps. This is Lil Victorian Christmas Lolita Ivy and I think you will agree with me that she is a real cutie. I went with a blue and white theme on my card…one of my favorite combinations.

I added some fun flock to the trim on her dress as well as her little muff. The sentiment is also from the new release and I lightly airbrushed it for a softened look. I few roses, some adhesive pearls and some seam binding and my card was done.

Here is Kylie’s fabulous sketch:

Our sponsor is Love to Stamp  and Angie and the Love to Stamp girls are generously giving away one Little Darling rubber stamp of the winner's choice. I know I would be very excited to be the winner!

I really hope to see YOUR entry to our challenge. Have a great rest of the day my friends!

Inspiration Friday ~ Another Hallowe’en Card

Happy Friday! Hope you had a great week. Mine was over in a flash :) I can’t believe how quickly time flies! I have a lot of crafty projects that I am working away madly one….soon I will be able to show you! Sometimes I am working so much at my craft table that I don’t have time to come to my computer and load up cards. So in the next few days….you should be seeing a lot of new things being posted. Hope it makes up for being a little MIA.

My card is for the  La-Land Land Crafts Inspiration Friday. We were challenged this week to add a doily to our project.

Every Monday and Friday La-La Land Crafts new Design Team will be bringing you a new inspirational theme. You are more than welcome to play along as we would love to see your creations with La-La Land Craft stamps. Please link your projects to our Customer Gallery.

Witch Marci copy

Since Hallowe’en is fast approaching, I really wanted to use this sweet Witch Marci. I colored her up with my trusty Copic Sketch Markers and opted to use my warm greys for her hat and dress. It softens up and warms up the look in comparison with the cool grey markers. On a whim, I colored her hair this lovely shade of green. I think it makes the image pop a lot more than if I had made her a brunette of a blonde….besides….it’s Hallowe’en!

The paper is from Basic Grey’s Eerie paper pad. I think it is a year or two old now :) I like the silhouettes that were printed on this particular piece of paper and thought it would be a great background for my card. I cut the doily with my Slhouette machine using another piece of paper from the Eerie pack and the tree was also die-cut. The sentiment is from Tickled Pink Stamps.

Stamp & Create Product Spotlight ~ Emerald Fairies

Happy Monday! Hope your week-end was lovely. We had another full two days and a series of adventures!

Today I have my Stamp and Create Product Spotlight Card to share with you.

This week's Product Spotlight is: Emerald Faeries and they will be 25% off this week!

Stamp & Create EF copy

I chose to use the Kenz & Tilly stamp to create a center-stair-step card. The image was colored with Copic Sketch Markers to match the colors on the patterned paper which is from Kaiser Craft's Velvet Ensemble 6x6 pad. Now that it is Autumn (or almost nearly so) I thought to use some richer, more earthy tones and this paper pad certainly fit the bill. Lovely. lush and perfect.

I die-cut the bird-cage using my Silhouette SD. Using the Print & Cut feature, I was able to add this wonderful patterned text right onto the cage. I wanted something to add a little contrast between the image and the patterned paper but didn’t want to cover up all that gorgeous design so this cage was perfect. I picture this little Fairy using this cage as a safe and happy little home somewhere nestled in the forest :)

I tied three charms to the top of the die-cut bird cage: Love Charm, Heart 2 Charm, and a star charm. The Prima fairy-tale rose was covered in glitter for a little sparkle and the wings were covered in Stardust Stickles. Stamp & Create EF side copy

The sentiment is from Technique Tuesday’s Ali Edwards collection. I {heart} her sentiment sets and am slowly building up my collection of them. I have started back at scrapbooking and I love how they add so much to your pages! I stamped this sentiment onto the bottom of the card, first with some metallic ink which is very faint but I think you can just make it out, and then with some VersaMark and white embossing powder. As you can see, the second time, I just stamped a portion of the sentiment. It is something I say to my kids a lot…..and it is something I very luckily hear from them. I guess it is just one of those phrases that becomes uniquely your own family’s.

Stamp & Create EF close copy

Hope you enjoyed seeing this sweet little fairy card but before I go I want to let you know about Lacey’s  weekly Stamp & Create blog candy. You can read all about it and how to enter over at the Stamp & Create Blog! (My post may go live a little earlier that the blog’s so just check back later on the blog if you don’t see it)

As well, I do have a video showing how I create these center-stair-step cards. I can be viewed over at my YouTube channel ~here~.

Have a great day!

Sketch Saturday #172

Happy Saturday Everyone! I just love typing that! This weekend is full of activities once again but the weather is supposed to be nice so I can’t wait to enjoy some sunshine. I hope that you have something fun planned as well.

Once again today the Tickled Pink Design team is previewing the new release: Lil Christmas Collection which will soon be available. I loved these images when I saw them and judging from the feedback I’ve been hearing….so do a lot of you!

Christmas Badge 1

Today we are showcasing - Lil Victorian Christmas Kellita and I have combined my sneak peek card with my Sketch Saturday card. I have changed a few areas of the sketch to suit what I had in mind!

Lil Chrisrmas Kellita copy

I colored Lil Kellita with copic markers to match my papers which are from Cosmo Cricket’s Mitten Weather patterned paper. I cut her out and adhered her to the front of the card. The calendar is a Jenni Bowlin chipboard piece that I have had in my stash for a while now. It and the panel behind it just slide in and out. I did not adhere them to the card front. I figured that I could maybe add a nice gift card to the panel. That would make a nice presentation.

The gorgeous gingham ribbon is May Arts and the button is Jenni Bowlin. The bakers twine is PTI and the pretty kraft border was made using a WoJ metal die.

Lil Christmas Kellita side copy

You have the chance to win this cutie! Just leave a comment at the Tickled Pink Stamps blog post. At the same time you will be able to see the gorgeous creations by the rest of the Tickled Pink team!

Product Links (image will be available at Tickled Pink Stamps online store soon)

Sketch Saturday is being sponsored by Simon Says Stamp this week.

SS-172

I am also entering this in the Tickled Pink Challenge blog where we need to use chipboard on our creations!

Have a great day and thanks so much for stopping by today!

La~La Land Crafts Inspiration Friday ~ Anything but a Card

Happy Friday! I cannot believe that the weekend is here already! The kids have had a great week at school and are happy and looking forward to this new school year! Looks like slowly we are getting back into a routine. We are still waiting to see if my son will make double letter hockey before we will know his hockey schedule. After that we can figure out the days they will take their music lessons. My Irish dance and Pilates classes are starting up in a couple of weeks too. I am a bit fanatical about us all eating supper together as a family so it takes careful planning and sometimes we eat at 4:45 but hey we get to be together and talk about our day. So planning it is a little bit like a jigsaw puzzle!

Once again it is time to show you what I created for this week’s  La-Land Land Crafts Inspiration Friday.

Every Monday and Friday La-La Land Crafts new Design Team will be bringing you a new inspirational theme. You are more than welcome to play along as we would love to see your creations with La-La Land Craft stamps. Please link your projects to our Customer Gallery.

The theme this week was “Anything but a Card” and so I decided to create a fun door hanger with one of the new Halloween Images. These are so easy to make and such a fun little addition to your home decor.

Pirate Marci Halloween copy

I used Buccaneer Marci. I love her little head-scarf and long flowing hair. As per usual she was colored up with my Copic Sketch markers. The background papers are just bits and pieces of left over Halloween scraps from last year. I cut out my hanger from some sturdy cardboard and then adhered the paper right on top. I cut out the circle opening with Spellbinders die and then created a little bit of a decorated piece to make it look neater.

The scene was created with shapes that I downloaded and cut using my Silhouette SD. Have I mentioned how much I {heart} this machine! LOL! Finally, I just cut up some gauze and adhered it here and there to the hanger.

Pirate Marci Halloween copy

Here’s a close-up of the coloration. I used Copic Sketch Markers:

  • Skin  E000, E00, E11, R20
  • Hair: E50, Y21, E31, E33
  • Clothing: C3, C5, C7, C9, R17, E07

I am entering this in the  Creative Card Crew (anything goes) Challenge.

Hope you enjoyed our fun challenge. We hope to see your cards in the customer gallery. Thanks for stopping by!

Hugs Jeanette xxo
