Tickled Pink & Stamp & Create

Happy Monday! The weather here is awful :( A mix of rain, freezing rain and snow have created a really yucky mess outside. I am happy that we went skiing yesterday. What a great day. The little one improved so much that we were doing the runs all together. He is so speedy now.

2011 sc - Page 031

This week’s  Stamp & Create Product Spotlight is Tickled Pink Stamps. This line includes Lil Lolita and the new Cherrie designs.

These are a personal favorite of mine. I love their quirky stamps….lots of attitude and cuteness! They will all be 25 % off this week so if you have had them on your wish list, now would be the time to scoop them up at a fantastic price.

I used Fasionette Lil Lolita - 60's Mod Ivy to create this fun tag card. The sentiment tag was made with Whimsy's Friendship Ticket sentiments and co-ordinating ticket die. A Basic Grey button and some ivory crochet lace  were also used to finish off the tag. I used a Papertrey die to create the fun half circle rosette.

Here is the inside of the tag:

2011 sc - Page 032

The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up. I am going to enter this in this week’s Tickled Pink Challenge which is “tags”.

I also want to let  you know that my dear friend Lacey has a digi image for sale at her store and 100% of the proceeds will go to her little friend Luke to help with all his medical bills.  You can read about it all ~here~.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back tomorrow with a surprise sneak peek!

More Whiff of Joy!

Happy Sunday Everyone! The kidlets are off for a whole week and already I am out of my routine! LOL! It is play-off season for my son and his hockey so we will be going to lots of games over the next few weeks. The weather is beautiful today so we are going to head out to the slopes right after lunch and ski until the evening.**Sigh** I love not worrying about school lunches, bed time, etc.

I have two cards to show you today! The first is my Sketch Saturday DT card and I have used two of the new Whiff of Joy Love Bugs images that will be released on Tuesday.

The first one is this cutie on the front…2011 ss - Page 028

….and the second is this sweet bee-hive that I stamped inside. I liked just the ink outline in this instance but I am already thinking about masking these two images together for a scene card!

2011 wj - Page 033

My second card is for the Whiff of Joy challenge which is to use paper-piecing on your project. Kylie created a wonderful tutorial where she demonstrates it so well. You can find it ~ here~.

I used the very sweet Ben stamp….adorable

2011 wj - Page 034

The banner and the tag were made with Whiff of Joy metal dies, the brads are WoJ as well and the sentiment is by Verve Stamps. It was a perfect match for this stamp.

2011 wj - Page 035

Right, that’s it for me. I have to run and get dressed for skiing and make sure the kids dress properly too. Not fun if you are cold.

Friday Sketchers Challenge

Happy Friday! This is the last day of school before my boys start their March break….which translates to….this is the last day I will have very much time for blogging and/or playing in my craft room! LOL! Of course, I am sooo happy to have them with me and we have lots of things planned….with skiing being at the top of the list.

This week it is Claudia’s turn to create a sketch and like all her sketches …it is perfectly balanced and a joy to play with!

I used one of the whimsical new gnome stamps that will be released March 1st by Whiff of Joy stamps. If you missed my last few postings, scroll down after this one and you will see some of the other gorgeous images that will be released at the same time.

2011 FS - Page 030

I have colored this sweet little gnome with Twinkling H20s. It has been such a long time since I have done any water-coloring and I re-discovered how much I love it! I was happy that I was able to capture a little bit of the shimmer that the H20s give! So pretty.

The sentiment on the front and the one on the inside are from Verve Stamps.

2011 FS - Page 029

The patterned paper is from Whiff of Joy as is the metal die that I used for the sweet heart banner.

Here are some links for you. The image will be available at Whiff of Joy as of March 1st.

Twinkling H20s used:

almond beige, bolivian blue, chestnut brown, forest green, hot cinnamon, bashful blue

Be sure to check out all the samples that my fellow DT sisters have created for your inspiration. We have been joined by the wonderful Rach! Yippee! I am so happy she is on our team!

Bea, Bev, Claudia, Tanja, Jacque, Janneke, Jorunn, Rach

We hope  you will be able to play along and post your own creation on the Friday Sketcher blog. Our wonderful sponsor this week is Tickled Pink Stamps! Wow! I {heart} their gorgeous stamps!

Whiff of Joy Sneak Peek #2

Happy Thursday! I have another Whiff of Joy sneak peek for you! This will be a quick post as I am running behind schedule but I wanted to share this with you all today!

This image was in the E.Bell Spring kit but will now be available to purchase as an individual stamp on March 1st.

2011 - Page 004

I love the sense of movement in this image. You can see that her hair and beautiful gown are being blown by the wind!

I took my color cue from the wonderful Whiff of Joy paper when choosing my copic markers. The sentiment is one of my favorites and is by Verve Stamps.

The paper, pearl brads and metal pennant die are all available at the Whiff of Joy store and the image will be released on March 1st.

Thanks for stopping by! I will have another sneak peek featuring one of the new Whiff of Joy gnomes for you tomorrow!

Whiff of Joy Sneak Peek!

Happy Wednesday! Just got back from my Cardio-Tone class so my legs feel like jelly! LOL! I am excited today to show you a sneak peek of one of the many delightful stamps that Whiff of Joy will be releasing on March 1st! I am totally in heaven as they are all soooo gorgeous!

This beautiful stamp was part of the Elizabeth Bell Stamp Kit but will be available as a single stamp…so don’t worry if you missed out on the kit. I don’t know the name of this stamp yet but I {heart} her!

2011 - Page 025

This card was totally inspired by a card that I saw on my friend Rach’s blog. I fell in love with the card style as well as the white on white with the image giving a pop of color. Rach saw this step fold card on Marlene’s blog who found the tutorial for this card style on Pam’s blog! Don’t you just love all this sharing! Here is Rach’s card and here is the link to Pam’s tutorial!

2011 - Page 026

Here you can get a nice idea of how pretty this card style is. I embossed panels of white cardstock cut to size to adhere to my card base. I used a Papertrey Ink embossing die but I think any type would look nice. The flowers were made with a Spellbinders die, the leaves with a WoJ die and the butterflies with a MS punch. The sentiment is from Whiff of Joy, but from one of last year’s collections!

Thanks for dropping by today and please let me know what you think of the new stamp and this card style!

Back tomorrow with another sneak peekie!

Two Card Tuesday

Happy Tuesday! How is that for a title? I am so sorry that my posts are late (again). Life has been just hectic. Nothing major, nothing bad, just so many little things to get done. For some reason Blogger did not publish my scheduled post for yesterday. Not sure why.

First I will show you the card I was supposed to post yesterday!

This week the Stamp & Create Product Spotlight is Kenny K stamps! They are really awesome stamps and I have been wanted to get my hands on some of the images to color them up!  I wasn’t disappointed. They are super fun to color. I am entering this card in the Kenny k Krafty Girlz challenge which is “R”. My “R” is my ribbon!

2011 - Page 024

I pulled out a bunch of paper scraps from my drawer to create a fun, young card. I matched my copic markers to the papers and added a Verve sentiment. The May arts ribbon keeps the card closed. Inside there is more of the same papers….I forgot to take a picture! This particular image is called Download Diva.

This week the Kenny K stamps will be 25% off! Lacey will have her second shipment (the first one disappeared quickly) arrive at the end of the week so she has the missing ones on pre-order but they will ship out as soon as she gets them!

Here is my High Hopes Challenge card. Our theme this time is to create a card for a Female Birthday! I am also entering this in the A Spoonful of Sugar challenge which is birthday.

2011 - Page 027

I used some left-over Stampin’ Up paper scraps that were just enough to create an A2 card.  I {heart} the simple layout that lets this sweet Monkey shine!

Right then, I have some laundry to tackle and supper to make before I have to pick up the kidlets.

Have a great rest of the day!

Hello Sunshine

Happy Sunday! I am posting my Sketch Saturday a day late :) Seems never to be enough time in the day for me to get to everything I want to!

2011 - Page 021

I have had this sweet Stampavie image for ages and just never got around to coloring it in. Now that Lacey has gotten in this year’s new Stampavie release in her store Stamp & Create….I knew that I had to do give this little fellow some love! Lacey has started shipping the new stamps. you can see them ~here~ They are totally gorgeous!

The paper I believe is a MME collection from last year. It was perfect to complement the bright colors that I used for my image. I added some twinkling H20s to the flower and the butterfly for a little extra sparkle. I machine stitched two of the panels and added a luxurious May Arts silk ribbon that I tied using the bow easy. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Sigh…this card makes me long for the summer!

Please join in our challenge this week over at Sketch Saturday!

Heartfelt Thank-you

Happy Friday! I have had a hectic week and I can hardly believe it is once again Friday. I have hardly posted at all this week but today I do have two cards to show you :)

2011 - Page 020

This week at Friday Sketchers, it is the magical Bea’s turn to create a sketch for us. I always look forward to Bea’s sketches because they really make me think:)

I pulled out some of this paper from MME La Paperie stack that I have had for awhile now. I liked this golden yellow paper so much that I decided to use it.(Not my usual color choice)  I colored up Tilda’s dress to match and added a little W1 to give it a more vintage feel.

The sentiment is Stampin’ Up and I used Papertrey dies to cut it and the scalloped mat out. The baker’s twine is Papertrey as well. The gorgeous butterfly charm is from Katharina, the flowers were from Jacque and the silk ribbon is from Stamp & Create.

I used my new little sewing machine (I am sooo happy I bought it) to machine stitch a couple of the panels.

Be sure to check out all the samples that my fellow DT sisters have created for your inspiration.

Bea, Bev, Claudia, Tanja, Jacque, Janneke, Jorunn

We hope  you will be able to play along and post your own creation on the Friday Sketcher blog . Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Pink Cat Studio.

This week over at the Wags ‘n Whiskers challenge, we are to use punches on our projects.

 2011 - Page 022

I created a Criss-Cross pocket card. (you can find my video tutorial by clicking on the tabs at the top of my blog). I used Stampin’ up punches to create this continuous border. The tabs at the top were also created with a Stampin’ Up punch. I simply folded it in half and added a brad.

2011 - Page 023

I used “Nichola” one of the gorgeous Wags fairy images that you can find ~here~

Hope you can join in our challenge this week and don’t forget to visit the blog to see the stunning cards that the rest of the team has created!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely week-end! It has turned so mild here that our snow is melting at a tremendous rate… I may have to craft us an ark! LOL!

Love and Birthday Wishes

Happy Monday! (or what is left of it). I am a teeny bit late posting my Sketch Saturday card. My middle son had a hockey tournament near Quebec city and the weekend just flew by without any time for blogging.

Jo, as always) provided an amazing sketch for us all to use and I was able to ink up one of the new February Whiff of Joy Nora stamps. Isn’t she sweet? The paper is also Whiff of Joy (designed by Katharina herself) and I {heart} the whole pack! The sentiment is also WoJ from an earlier sentiment set but I thought it was perfect paired with this stamp!

2011 - Page 003

I colored my image up with Copic Sketch markers and then added some gorgeous Twinkling H20s over the hat, hair and coat as well as some on her cheeks to give her a nice rosy glow. I then added some glossy accents to her hat brim and her little boots.

The flowers were made with a Spellbinders die and I used Whiff of Joy brads as the centers.

Here are some links for you:

Twinkling H20s used:

  • Bolivian blue, Chestnut brown, Ginger Peach, Tahitian Blue

That is it for me. I hope to spend some time working with some new releases tomorrow and my DT cards for later this week! Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

Note of Love ~ Friday Sketchers Challenge

Happy Friday! My week was such a busy one and I had very little craft time but I did manage to get my FS card done and I just “had” to use this very sweet little Magnolia image! What a cutie!

2011 - Page 007 ****this card is available to purchase on ebay ~ here~ ****

Bev created the sketch for us this week and it is a lovely one and I was able to use up some Basic Grey Just Green paper that I have had for ages. I love the peach and green combo .

A little sponging with distress ink, machine stitching and stickles and of course a few flowers were the added details to my card.

The sentiment is from Stampin’Up. I think this was one the the first sets that I ever got.

I am also entering this card in these challenges:

Be sure to check out all the samples that my fellow DT sisters have created for your inspiration.

Bea, Bev, Claudia, Tanja, Jacque, Janneke, Jorunn

Happy Everything

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great week-end! We were happily busy with hockey, skiing and of course the boys had to watch the game last night! With all that was going on, I did not have enough time to blog hop :( as I had hoped but I did make this card for Stamp & Create’s spotlight!

2011 - Page 002

My card today features Sweet November stamps’ Arabella. I really {heart} these sweet princess images! I also used Whimsy’s music background stamp. I sponged the background and also air-brushed it with my Copic ABS. The ticket stamp is also from Whimsy as is the shapeology die that I used to cut it out with. It also was sponged. The ribbon is from Stampin’ Up (bashful blue) and I tied the bow with the Bow Easy.

I have used the wonderful sketch from the Create4fun challenge.

Here are links to the products I used:

This week's  Stamp & Create spotlight is:

Love/Valentine's Day!

This means all stamps that are Valentine's Day or Love related in the store are up to 25% off!!! What a great opportunity to give our hubbies a little “hint” as to what to get us for Valentine’s day!

Have a lovely day!

Sketch Saturday # 141

Happy Saturday Everyone! Thanks for stopping by today.I have my Sketch Saturday card to show you.

This week we are being sponsored by Tickled Pink Stamps! I {heart} their sweet images!

I know, what a fabulous sponsor! This week it is the incredibly talented Maya who created the sketch for us and it was pure fun to work with. I have used one of Tinkled Pinks own stamps for my card today:  Valentine Cherrie

Whiff of Joy 2010 - Page 051 *****this card is available on ebay ~here~ *****

I colored her up to match my K&Co Mc Kenna patterned paper. I machine stitched all the main panels and the little tabs on each side were made with the Spellbinders Fancy tag dies. I just cut the shape in half.

Here is the link to the image (digital or rubber version)

I invite you to join in our challenge this week and also stop by to see the gorgeous sample cards that our team has put together and please join us in welcoming our two newest members!

Have a wonderful day. I wasn’t able to do any blog hopping the last couple of days so I plan to do some today!

Double Challenge Friday!

Happy Friday! Today I have two cards to share with you! My Whiff of Joy stamps arrived this week; both the new February release AND the Stamp Kit! OMGosh! They are all phenomenal. I also received the paper pack and it is really gorgeous! Can you tell I was in heaven?

This week the Friday Sketchers Challenge is being hosted by my sweet friend Tanja. Her sketch is wonderful and just the thing to kick start your creativity!

Whiff of Joy 2010 - Page 013

I switched the sketch up just a little. I thought this sweet image would look much better in a circular frame rather than the rectangle in the sketch. For the border, I simply taped some pretty lace around the edges. That way the pretty paper isn’t covered up too much! The sweet flowers were a gift from my dear friend Jacque. The edges were created with a Cuttlebug die.

Here are some links for you:

Be sure to check out all the samples that my fellow DT sisters have created for your inspiration.

Bea, Bev, Claudia, Tanja, Jacque, Janneke, Jorunn Inge

We hope  you will be able to play along and post your own creation on the Friday Sketcher blog. We are being hosted by Stempel-Phantasien

Here are the links for you:

I hope you will have the time to join in for the fun as well as the lovely prize. please see the challenge blog to see the other Divas’ interpretations!

Happily Ever After…

Happy Thursday! Well, we are still digging out from the big snow storm! Wow! It was so windy too….how did you all do? Hope you are all warm and safe!

Today my card features one another amazing Sweet November stamp! I was lucky enough to win this stamp from Amy! Thank you so much! I love it!

2011 - Page 200

Amy included this DP in my packet as well and since I didn’t want to cover it up too much and I wanted the sentiment to be readable…this is what I came up with.

I am entering this into 3 challenges…

I also wanted to let you know (I forgot to tell you) that I posted a two part Copic Coloring video tutorial over at the High Hopes Challenge blog. I used one of Dustin Pike’s cute monkey images. If you are interested, you can see it ~here~.

Thanks for stopping by…it is so very much appreciated!
