Happy Friday! Sorry for so many days between postings. It has been a busy week for me and I just didn’t have too much time to devote to my blog, but I do have two cards to share with you today!
This week Friday Sketchers is being hosted by my good friend Claudia and as usual, her sketch is a gorgeous one.
This is one of the new Christmas Magnolias. I think she is absolutely the sweetest little thing. I paired her up with some gorgeous Christmas DP. I love how muted and rich the colors are. I decided to add just a touch of ribbon and this sparkly slider and found that I didn’t need anything else!
Stamps: Magnolia 2010 Christmas Collection Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black Paper: SU! Sahara Sand Cardstock, Basic Grey Wassail Collection Coloring: Copic Markers, Stickles ~ Diamond Embellies: Oval Ribbon Slider, May Arts Ribbon Be sure to check out all the samples that my fellow DT sisters have created for your inspiration.
Aud, Bea, Claudia, Tanja, Jacque, Janneke, Jorunn Inge
We hope you will be able to play along and post your own creation on the Friday Sketcher blog. We are being hosted this week by Lauretta’s Digital Stamps.

My next card is for this week’s Wags ‘n Whiskers Challenge which is Black & White. We have changed the challenge rules. You can now use any stamp you wish although we would still love to see your Wags creations!
I was inspired by the Cute Card Thursday challenge which was to used acetate as well as the A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge which is to “get punchy”. My patterned paper is on the inside of the card and the colored image is on the front acetate panel.
This image “He Loves Me” was what came to mind when I saw this particular challenge. I thought she would look perfect as an old-fashioned “snapshot”.
I think you can see it better in this picture:
here is another view:

and a close up of the colored image. I used Copics C00, C1, C3, C5,C7,C9 and sponged with Brushed Corduroy distress ink. And because I know that I will be asked (LOL!) the fancy lace is from Stamp & Create and can be found ~here~. It is gorgeous!

Don’t be afraid to try out a black & white palette. It is not as hard as you may think and you will end up loving the results!
You can see more Black & White creations created by the talented Divas on the Wags ‘n Whiskers Blog.
Thanks for stopping by and once again, sorry about my lack of postings this week!
