Happy Monday! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. Ours was once again very busy but full of fun as well. I was totally spoiled for Mother’s Day and was treated to a wonderful waffle and maple syrup breakfast. My boys gave me the sweetest hand-made presents. Their careful work is so precious to me. My eldest gave me a card and then said “Turn it over Mum. You’ll see something really pretty.” When I turned it over, it was a heart cut out of metallic reflective paper so that I would see my face. Gosh, he almost made me cry! They can be a handful sometimes but they are also so sweet and loving! They also had another wonderful surprise for me.
They first gave me the “gag” gift. You know, the one where you say “Wow! Thank you! I really needed this”. In my case it was a garden hose nozzle. The type with the long arm. Then, they told me to look out the window and there it was. A beautiful Magnolia tree. OMGosh! I nearly fainted. You see, not only do I love a certain stamping company by that name, I love the beautiful blossoms of a Magnolia tree contrasting with the bare bark. I always remark on a certain beautiful tree which is near our own home. It was my eldest son’s idea and they spent a panic stricken Saturday trying to make sure I did not go out the side door of the house which was where it was hidden! I feel totally spoiled!
My card today features one of the sweet Whiff of Joy stamps from the Get Well Collection. This is really a most fantastic collection and I know that all the gorgeous stamps will be used time and time again. A must-have in my opinion!
Whiff of Joy Stamps are the product spotlight over at Stamp & Create. Lacey has a fantastic selection of WOJ stamps and for the next two weeks they will be at 25% off! What a tremendous deal and a good opportunity to snag the ones that have been on your wish-list. You can find them all -->here<— and Lacey has the brand new releases: Get Well and the Aladdin kit and they will be 10% off!! Click -->here<—to see more of my WOJ cards!
This sweetie is called Sick Henry and he is such fun to color up. I added some gorgeous Prima Flowers, a lace doily and some luxurious silk ribbon. I have this ribbon in every color and I LOVE it! It is so soft and is gorgeous to the touch. I use my bow easy to create the bow and then pop it right onto my card. The adhesive pearls are by Martha Stewart and the paper is retired Stampin’ Up of which I still have quite a bit because I bought several packs of it. Love this soft color combo!
Don't forget about the very first Stamp and Create Challenge!! This month our challenge is: Ribbon and Fibers. The only rule is that you must use a stamp that is available through Stamp and Create and link to that stamp in the store.
That is it for me. I hope you have a wonderful and happy day and maybe get the opportunity to get a little inky!
