Happy Thursday Everyone! Thanks for stopping by today! Whew! Have I ever been busy these last few days with the kid’s return to school and pre-school for the little guy. I haven’t had any time to go onto you blogs and see your gorgeous creations and leave comments. I hope things will settle down soon! Actually yesterday I spent the whole day cleaning. I only went into my craft room to clean up! Today I am going to treat myself and spend some time today working on my DT cards for Friday & Saturday!
Today I am showing you a card I made using some pretty un-Fall-like colors. It was for a challenge over at PCP to use the color combo of pink, green and brown. To color my image, I first used very light copics to color everthing in. Just straight coloring with no shading. Then I brought out my Prismacolor pencils & OMS and shaded with them. WOW! I love using the two mediums together. The “aura” around the image was made with the prismacolors. I just traced the outline and used the OMS to blend the color outwards. The matting around the image was distressed with a pair of scissors. I love how it turned out! I am LOVING these new stamps from Whiff of Joy! They are so sweet and beautiful!
- Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU Chocolate Chip ink
- Paper: SU Certainly Celery, Blush Blossom, Chocolate Chip
- Coloring: Copic Markers, Prismacolors & OMS
- Embellies: Papertrey Ribbon
That is it for now. I hope you have a great day and get the chance to get a little inky!
