Happy Hallowe'en ~ Mini Pizza Boxes

Wishing all who celebrate tonight a fun evening of Tricks & Treats!
There is a challenge at ATS to make these cute little pizza boxes. You can find the tutorial here. They are so fast and easy to make! I couldn't believe how quickly I plowed through these. I wanted to have something a little extra-special for my kids and our neighbors' kids. We get loads of kids coming to our place as our street is a pretty festive one at Hallowe'en! I always make 150 treat bags up and we always run out by around 8pm. By that time most of little ones have passed by!

  • Stamps: CC Designs ATC, SU! Eat Drink & Be Scary
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: SU! B;ack, Ghostly Greetings
  • Coloring: Vampire - Copic, the others - Gamsol & Prismas

Cheers! ~ Cute Card Thursday

When I saw that the challenge at CCT was "Cheers", I knew I was going to ink up my new Charlie 007 and Cheers sentiment from Whiff of Joy. I have been getting quite a few emails and comments regarding WOJ. I have a link on my sidebar that will take you to the on-line store. I think you also may be able to find WOJ stamps at All That Scraps. You can find that and all my favorite on-line stores on my side-bar. If you just scroll down, you will see it!

This card came together really fast. I used one of Katharina's sketches again because it fit so perfectly. Charlie's glass is covered in Glossy Essentials and those cute little brads were part of a whole set that I picked up at the Dollar Store. I used them because they reminded me of cuff links! Perfect for this dashing little guy! I embossed the silver metallic paper and I was so suprised at how it turned out. The embossing really stands out!

  • Stamps: Whiff of Joy
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: SU! Black, Creative Memories Silver, Misc Scraps
  • Coloring: Copic Markers
  • Embellies: May Arts Ribbons, Dollar Store Brads
  • Tools: Cuttle Bug, Nestabilities, Embossing Folder, Scallop Punch

Pink Ribbon Ballerina ~ PaperTake Challenge

I received my Pink Ribbon stamps from Magnolia yesterday and made this card last night. The sketch at PaperTake this week worked perfectly with these stamps. Last week, Rach made a card using this Ballerina Tilda sitting in the WOJ chair. I fell in love with the idea so I have cased it! Thanks Rach for the fabulous idea. I stamped the pink cardstock with white craft ink and a stamp from Barocque Motifs. I paper pieced the chair in matching DP.

This card is in honor of all those whose lives are touched by breast cancer and most especially for two of my closest friends who lost their battle.

  • Stamps: Magnolia Pink Collection 2008, Chair from WOJ
  • Inks: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: SU! Sahara Sand, PaperTrey Sweet Blush
  • Coloring: Copic Markers, H20s
  • Embellies: PaperTrey Ribbons, K & Co Adhesive Pearls

Sparkle & Bling ~ A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

The challenge this week for a Spoonful of Sugar Challenge is to have lots of sparkle and bling. I had just finished up my calender insert for the month of December and I think it qualifies. I have already made months October & November for this year. You can see them here. I am working on the months for 2009. It is such a fun project and I have found the little CD calender so useful sitting by my desk!

  • Stamps: Whiff of Joy
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: Best Creations Inc.
  • Coloring: Copic Markers, H20s
  • Embellies: SU! Felt Snowflakes

Thanks for looking! I found a cool Poll Gadget on Blogger and thought I'd give it a try! I get lots of questions re coloring so I based the poll on that! You'll find it at the top right hand corner of my side-bar.

High Hopes Challenge

I was hoping to post this early this morning but we all slept in and I was volunteering at the school today so it was a mad dash to get us all out the door and get everyone where they were supposed to be on time! We (and when I say we I mean my husband) forget to set the alarm and I couldn't believe that the same 3 boys who are up at 6:30 AM on the weekend could still be sleeping at 7:55 AM!

This week, there is a really great sketch by Katharina for a rectangular card. It was fun to do and I already have ideas for another card using this sketch!

This was one of the first rubberstamps that I ever bought. I am a great tea lover and have converted my hubbie as well! Both my parents imigrated here from the UK so, as my sister says, we are probably as British as you can be without actually being British! So this Tea Angel was a perfect stamp for me to have.

  • Paper: SU! Kraft, K & Co DP
  • Coloring: Koh-i-norr & OMS, H20

Guess Hoo? ~ Friday Sketchers Challenge

This is the card I made for this week's Friday Sketchers which features a sketch by Claudia! It is a little bit different than my usual color choice! Let me know what you think!

Pink Ribbon Projects

Just a quick little post here to show you a couple of small projects I made yesterday. The little bear one is actually a little post-it holder. You can slide your pen through the binding on the top so it is always handy. The one with the little cat is a small notebook. I tied pink ribbons on them to honor October is Breat Cancer Awareness month and all those affected by this disease.

Stamps: All That Scraps CC Designs.
Coloring: Koh-i-norr & OMS

EDIT:
Christine has a great blog candy right now to celebrate her hits! Hurry it ends tomorrow!

Joy To The World ~ Sketch Saturday #22

Here is my card for this week's Sketch Saturday. Isn't this a great sketch? I don't know how Jo comes up with such amazing ideas week after week, but I am glad she does! I really wanted to use this cute little Sugar Nellie stamp from the Honey & Pip line. I chose the paper first and then colored my image with matching colors. I cut my little image out and mounted it on an embossed circle. I brushed some white craft ink over the embossing to make it pop out a little more!

  • Stamps: Sugar Nellie Honey & Pip Collection, Sentiment from Verve Stamps
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: SU! Riding Hood, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, DP My Minds Eye
  • Coloring: Koh-i-norr Pencils & OMS
  • Embellies: SU! Soft Sky Ribbon
  • Tools:SU! Ticket Corner Punch, Martha Stewart Punch, Nesties

Thank you for stopping by today. My fellow DT members have created such gorgeous cards this week. Have a stop over at Sketch Saturday and why don't you give the sketch a try? Here it is:

My Lucky Stars

I have made this card to enter into 2 challenges. The card is made using the sketch from the WOJ challenge and this week's CCT challenge was to make something spooky or with stars. Since I have been making a lot of Hallowe'en themed projects, I decided to go with the stars!

I've made this card to give to my husband for Hallowe'en. Let me explain! LOL! We met at a Hallowe'en party 21 years ago and have been together ever since! We were both so young and still in school. Now, I had dressed as a witch (the cute kind not the scary kind) and he had made his costume at the last minute and had dressed up as garbage. I know that is hard to imagine but he had the garbage bag incorporated into the costume with all kinds of funny odds and ends stuck to it! Charlie is a little scruffy in this stamp so I though it would serve well!
  • Stamps: Whiff of Joy, Verve Stamps Sentiment
  • Ink: Memento Black
  • Paper: Basic Grey Ambrosia, SU! Black & Grey Cardstock
  • Coloring: Copic Markers
  • Embellies: Brads and silver flourish from stash, Sakura pen to add dots and highlights
  • Tools: Scor-Pal, SU! Corner rounder (to make the scallopped edge)
Thanks for stopping by. I will have a new card tomorrow for Sketch Saturday. It is a gorgeous sketch!

Hallowe'en Treats ~ PaperTake Challenge

This week the challenge at Papertake is to make something "frightful but delightful". It does not have to be a card. I saw these cute little box over at Marlene's blog and thought they were just so sweet. Here is the link that she provided. There are tons of instructions for all types of little projects. I tried out the box as well as the little treat holder.

Hallowe'en Edwin with Lantern ~ A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

The laundry has been folded and put away. *SIGH* Now I can take some time on the computer guilt-free! Over at A Spoonful of Sugar, the theme is Hallowe'en. I have to say that it has been the theme at our home for the past few weeks. My boys just love to celebrate this Spooky Day!
I thought that I could use this sweet Edwin stamp in conjunction with one of the new Stampin'Up ones. Some of our neighbours work hard every year to create a "Haunted House". They have tombstones all over their lawn, ghosts and cobwebs hung in the trees, ans spooky music playing. All the kids love to go but I always have to come right up to the door with them! So I tried to create this feeling with my card! I have used cotton as the clouds but it is a little hard to see in the photo! All paper is Stampin"up and Edwin is colored with Copic Markers.

Altered Notebook ~ High Hopes Challenge

This week, the challenge at High Hopes is to create "anything but a card". I made up this little notebook as a small gift for my nephew. I used a notebook and pen that I bought at the dollar store. I measured out the size of the front cover and cut my paper to fit. I used my Stampin' Up spiral punch on one side of the paper. It matches up perfectly. Here is the only tricky part! Flip the back cover off your book. Slide it off the binding. Now you can slide your DP onto the front cover and tape it down. Put the back cover back on! Done! I used this sweet High Hopes Elephant. I just love to color him! I used an alphabet template to trace the lette "M" and then cut it out.

Enjoy your day. I hope to post another card later on but first I have a few loads of laundry that need to be attended to!

Sweet Tilda with Pumpkin

I made this card for this week's Friday Sketchers with had this fabulous sketch. I had so much fun with this sketch. I am sure I will use it again!

The black background paper was created by running the black cardstock through my cuttlebug with the Pumpkin embossing folder. I realized that it didn't "pop" enough so I took some Stickles (Fruit Punch) and just smooshed (my technical term!) it all over the paper. I ended up with this. I still don't think you can tell that there are pumpkins there, but I loved the effect!

I just noticed that on the my Cosmo Cricket DP where the barcode is, it is written:
"Acid Free. Lignin Free. Fat Free. Sugar Free. High in Fiber".
  • Stamps: Magnolia Halloween Collection 2008
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: SU! Grey & Black, Cosmo Cricket, Making Memories
  • Coloring: Copics, H20s
  • Embellies: Dollar Store Pumpkin Decals, Misc Ribbon, Stickles in Fruit Punch
  • Tools: CM Circle Cutting System
Thanks for stopping by. I had some free time this weekend and I was really grooving, so I have a few more cards that I'll post throughout the week!

Laugh ~ A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge

I really liked the sketch that Lim had made for this week's A Spoonful of Sugar challenge and I really wanted to try it out. I am posting this at the last minute but I haven't had time to play this challenge for the last couple of weeks and I didn't want to miss another!

  • Paper: SU! Not Quite Navy, Martha Stewart

Birthday Pocket Card

Well, it is Saturday night, the little one is asleep and my other boys are watching the hockey game. I am in the next room and I thought I'd use this time to show you the card that I made for my niece for her birthday. I always make her earrings or a bracelet whenever it is her birthday or at Christmas. I thought it would be nice to make this folded pocket card and tuck the earrings in one pocket and a bookmark in the other. I found the tutorial to do this on Splitcoasters.

  • Stamp: Whiff of Joy Guardain Angel collection, SU! Sentiment
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, SU! Almost Amythest
  • Paper: SU! Designer Paper Almost Amythest
  • Coloring: Copic MarkersEmbellies: Dollar store charm, misc ribbon from stash
  • Tools: Nestabilities, SU! Ticket Corner & Scallop Punches

  • You Make a Difference ~ Sketch Saturday #21

When I saw this fabulous sketch by Jo, I thought it would suit perfectly for a "Scene" card. A few weeks ago I ordered some stamps from The Stamping Place. They have the most wonderful backgrounds that can be used with all these sweet images that I love so much! I colored everything with my Copic markers. Wow, I used so many colors this time. I usually just have 3 or 4 colors of varying shades on a card. This one has quite a bit more. I used DP that isn't too busy so it doesn't compete with my scene. The plate that Melinda is holding, the pot, and the faucet all have Glossy Accents on them to make them shine. The sentiment is embossed and then cut out.
    • Stamps: Whiff of Joy, Stamping Place, Verve Stamps (sentiment)
    • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Encore Gold Metallic
    • Paper: SU! River Rock, Martha Stewart DP
    • Coloring: Copic Markers
    • Embellies: Glossy Accents

Here is Jo's sketch. Hope you can join in this week. Don't forget to visit my fellow DTs to see their gorgeous creations! Have a super week-end
