Happy Thursday! Sorry for my late post…..I was off getting blood tests this morning and I waited a LONG time……with a room crammed full of people………many of whom were coughing……..which automatically made me feel like I was coming down with whatever it is they had. I am not a big fan of waiting rooms. To me they are just giant petri dishes. Okay.I had to vent a little but now I feel better. Good thing I had my i-phone with me. I used it to read the newspaper and then do some blog hopping :)
Today’s card is one I made for the Whiff of Joy challenge whose theme for this fortnight is “Shabby Chic”.
I am not really good at shabby chic but I pulled out my distress markers and re-inkers and colored up my favorite image from our last release and tried to make it look shabby….and chic…..without having it look like I tried too hard. YKWIM? This style is a little outside my comfort zone.
After coloring, I stamped this cute little bat in the corner. He comes in an amazing little Halloween set that was also released this month. LOVE him. I have plans to use this set for a little project that I can do with my kids. I will share with you once it is done :)
I added a doily and some netting because I thought they would add more shabby to my card! Them, I couldn’t resist adding a die cut flourish and this adorable spider and web charm. Is it cute or what?
The chevron background was created with an Impression Obsession stamp and the papers are from Stampin’Up.
