This week for A Spoonful of Sugar, you can make "anything but a card"! While I was blog hopping this morning I saw an absolutely stunning book-mark made by Inge. You can see it here. She even gave instructions on how she made it! I fell so much in love with it that I used her book-mark as the inspiration for mine! I do not have the WOJ Guardian Angel (yet) so I replaced her with another Elisabeth Bell image. I kept the color palette very similar. On the top of the book-mark, I put a small clip. It can easily open and close and will keep the book-mark firmly in place! On the inside I stamped one of my favorite Verve sentiments. Voila! I have just combined two of my biggest passions: stamping & reading!
- Stamps: Sugar Nellies, Verve Sentiment
- Ink: Stazon Jet Black
- Paper: SU! River Rock, Ginger Blossom
- Coloring: Gamsol & Prismacolors
- Embellies: Library clip from ATS, Dollar Store Heart, SU! Fairy Tales ribbon
- Tools: Scor-Pal, Cuttlebug, Swirls Embossing Folder, SU! Scallop Punch
I have had another lovely surprise in finding that Tanja has nominated me for an award! It is such a great feeling when someone whose work you admire passes such an award to you! You must go visit her blog as her creations are unique. Her cards have such a soft & sweet touch. This is the second time I have received the award so I won't pass it along again but I am so grateful to Tanja for thinking of me!
