Elegant Christmas

Happy Wednesday everyone. I wanted to share one last card with you all before signing off for the rest of the year!!!

I ran out of time (again) this year and needed some quick but beautiful Christmas cards to send out and once again, Whimsy came to the rescue.  A little die-cutting, some tape adhesive and I was set!

Have You Hung Your Stockings Yeti?

Happy Tuesday everyone! It won't be long now, Christmas is almost here.  I have a fun card to share with you that features that adorable Yeti and his Gnome friends!

I used the new Yeti for Christmas Clear Stamp Set and stamped it using Gina K black ink onto some Copic X-Pressit paper.  I then colored the image using various Copic Markers.  I then carefully fussy cut it out.

The background was created by using the  Slimline Stars Background Die and was ink blended with distress inks and the sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Holiday Hugs - Whimsy Stamps

Happy Tuesday! The month is just whizzing by and although it is now a definite that this Christmas will be very, very different to the ones in the past, I am at the same time grateful for the quieter, gentler pace of this particular season.  I am also grateful for having a place where I can create and I wanted to share my latest Holiday card with you.

I love creating little scenes in my cards and working with patterns and shapes. First, I chose some papers from the 6x6 Tartan Paper Pack.  This way I had a ready made color palette to work with.  The Warm Fuzzies Clear Stamp Set has contains all the images that you need to create a sweet little scene.  I stamped them all with a copic friendly ink and then colored them all in with copic markers.  Here are the ones that I used:

Santa Skin: E000,E00, E11, R20
Santa Hair & Beard: W1
Fluff on Hat: C00, C1, C3
Red Items: R08, RV14, R46
Green Items: G28, G46, YG03
Blue Items: B06, B04, B02
Dog: E31, E34, E35
Fireplace & Boots: C3, C5, C7, C9
Candles: B63, B66
Cat: E41, E42, E43

I then used the to create the background for my scene as well as a pretty scalloped border.  I adhered everything together and then added it to my card-base.  I chose to use 2 different patterns on my card but you might want just the one or even three or four!  The patterns in this pack are so divine that you'll want to use all of them.

Finally, I heat embossed the sentiment, which comes in the stamp set, with white embossing powder.  I believe that Santa hugs are still safe.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope that you were inspired by my wee card and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a happy and safe Christmas!

Yeti for Christmas?

Happy Tuesday and Happy December! I always am so happy when it is finally the magical month of the year and this year I am also happy because it is the last month of this year!!

It is mini release time once again for Whimsy Stamps and I have a new card to share that features a very sweet and quirky Yeti as well as Santa and Rudolph. Truth be told Santa and Rudolph look as if they are not enjoying the sleigh ride as much as Yeti is!!

I used the new Yeti for Christmas Clear Stamp Set and stamped it using Gina K black ink onto some Copic X-Pressit paper.  I then colored the image using various Copic Markers.  I then carefully fussy cut it out.

My scene was created by using the Slimline Scenic Countryside Die and using a variety of the diecuts that I cut from it.  There are so many houses, trees, reindeer, etc that come with this set that make it a definite must for your crafty stash.  I love the frame and the long slimline waves.  It was very easy to create a lovely frame and scene for the image.

The sky was ink blended with distress inks and the sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder.

Jingle all the Way

Happy Tuesday! Hope you are having a good day.  We are having the most beautiful weather at the moment.  It is so warm and gorgeous outside.  I was actually raking the leaves in a t-shirt!  Crazy for November.

I have a new card to share with you from the new mini release from Whimsy Stamps.  Quite a fun-loving and cheerful elf from the new Jingle all the Way Clear Stamp Set.  There are other bell images included in the set as well as three lovely sentiments.

The image was stamped onto Copic paper and then colored with Copic Markers.  I also stamped and colored the wee bells & ribbon image and fussy- cut it out.

I used the amazing new Extreme Postage Die Set to cut out around the image as well as to create a contrasting mat with red card-stock. The background is paper from the 6x6 Tartan Paper Pack.

Christmas Window

Happy Sunday and Happy November! Usually I am a little sad as the year draws to a close in the months of November and December but this year I cannot wait for 2020 to be over.  I remember thinking that the year had a nice ring to it...2020....how wrong I was!!!

I have a brand new card to share with you today featuring 2 of the new products in Whimsy Stamps new mini release.

The image is Fairy Grace and was stamped onto Copic XPressit paper with Memento London Fog Ink.  I then colored the image with Copic Markers and then fussy cut it out.

The background is one of the papers in the Blurry Flurries 6x6 Paper Pack.  I absolutely love this pack and the dreamy colors.

I then used white cardstock to cut out the Arched Window Die and glittered cardstock to cut out the Christmas Word Die.  I used the same glittered cardstock to cut out the various sized stars from the Slimline Stars Background Die.

Merries of Wishes

Happy Friday! As the month draws to a close, I wanted to share, not a Halloween card like a normal blogger, but another Christmas card featuring a cute Whimsy Stamps dragon!

Like my card from yesterday, this image is one from the Dragon Wishes Clear Stamp Set. The image was stamped onto Copic paper with Memento London Fog and then colored with Copic Markers.  I paired it with some paper from the new Tartan 6x6 Paper Pack which I diecut using the Comic Burst A2 Die.

Dragon Wishes

Happy Tuesday my lovelies! It is pretty cold over here.  Winter seems to be just around the corner!

I have a new Christmas card to share with you featuring an adorable Dustin Pike dragon.  There were two sets released by Whimsy this month and this one is from the Dragon Wishes Clear Stamp Set. The image was stamped onto Copic paper with Memento London Fog and then colored with Copic Markers.  I paired it with some paper from the new Tartan 6x6 Paper Pack and created a fun slim-line card.

The "Merriest Wishes" sentiment is included in the stamp set and was stamped using Versafine Black Onyx ink.  I added some glitter to the groudn below the dragone using some Nuvo Glitter Drops.

To create the banner, I used the word "Christmas" from the Slimline Vertical Sentiments Set and fussy cut each of them out before adhering them to the card.  I drew a wire to connect them all using a very fine pencil.  Originally, I was going to use the sentiment in the vertical position but I didn't like how it looked so I opted for this way which I really love.  It took some time to fussy cut but it was worth it!
