Stamp & Create

Happy Monday my lovelies! Sorry my post is late today. I got caught up in housework. Trust me, I would rather be stamping, but it has to get done. At least when I have the radio blaring, it helps make it more fun!

Today I am sharing my Stamp and Create DT card with you, but first I have some really fun and exciting news for you!

We are starting a new Magnolia Challenge!!

The challenges will be begin this Friday, January 18th
Then the challenge will continue every two weeks
Hop on over to the Stamp and Create with Magnolia challenge blog and become a follower so you don't miss out on any of the fun!

Speaking of Magnolia, the new Magnolia With Love Collection is now in stock...

Now, here is my card. It is one of the  “thank-you” cards I made for my boys to send out to their family.

Stamapvie Kitten Umbrella

One of my New Year’s resolutions is to make an effort to get all my un-used stamps inked up and onto cards. I feel terrible about the amount of stamps that still haven’t been out of their package. So here is a sweet stamp that I love and am happy to have finally used!

It is a Stampavie stamp from the Penny Johnson line: Floating down the River. The image was colored with Copic markers, then masked and air-brushed with my Copic ABS. I used a couple of colors to create a fun background. The sentiment is from an older SU! set and I used a SU! punch and some scrap paper to create a little interest at the top. I tied some baker’s twine and my card was done. Since this is being mailed out along with some photos, I wanted to keep the bulk to a minimum and really, I don’t think it needs any more embellishments.

Before I leave you, I will tell you that this week's weekly candy is:

Giddy Up by Tina Winke for Stampavie

**In order to enter the candy, you must post the Stamp and Create's Store Logo in the side bar of your blog and link it to www.stampandcreate.com...

The candy end Sunday, January 20th at 7pm EST
Please enter the candy at this post ~here~

Have a great day and thanks for swinging by!

Stamp & Create Product Spotlight ~ Stampavie

Happy Monday and Happy Victoria Day to all my fellow Canadians. We could not have asked for a more beautiful long week-end. It is just heavenly!

Today I have my Stamp & Create Product Spotlight to share with you. This week we shine the spotlight on:

Stampavie

All Stampavie Stamps on sale 25% off

Including the latest releases from Penny Johnson, Tina Winke, Sarah Kay

I used the new Sarah Kay stamp Michel for my card. He is such a cutie pie and reminds me of my little guy. He is colored him with copic markers to match the patterned paper from Simple Stories Happy Day pad. To finish the card off, I added a fun button (Stampin’ Up) tied with some twine from Whiff of Joy.

It is the perfect card for a boy, don’t you think? Not too fussy or loaded with embellies but not too plain either.

The  new  Stamp & Create weekly candy is:

Kitty Katastrophe from Kenny K for Whimsy Stamps

Stamp & Create Product Spotlight ~ Stampavie

Happy Monday Everyone. Hope you all had a terrific weekend. I had another busy one! What’s new? On Saturday, I battled the snow and made it over to Scrapbook Centrale to teach two classes, raced home to go to mass and then dinner out! On Sunday, I supervised homework and then we headed out to watch my son play hockey. He got his second shut-out of the season! Go Team Go! Unfortunately, I started to feel a little under the weather in the late afternoon with chills and a really sore throat. I was feeling so  bad that I actually wrote this post then….and scheduled it! So, hopefully the morning will see me feeling better and not more sick.

This week the Stamp & Create Product Spotlight is a huge favorite of mine and I know many of you as well:

Stamp & Create August Challenge

Happy Tuesday..almost Wednesday! Sorry about my random postings these days. That is just the way it is in the Summer. We were away camping from Friday to Sunday and I am catching up with the laundry, groceries as well as running around with the kids. We had a fantastic time and the boys loved every minute of it…except for the mosquitos…they were just nasty.

My card today is for the August Challenge over at Stamp & Create. The theme is critters and gave me the opportunity to ink this sweet stamp up. Had a lot of fun creating the fur on the little puppy and will be giving a course on how to do this in September at Scrapbook Centrale. It is one of the techniques I have been asked a lot about Smile

july 2011 - Page 211

The image I  used is a Stampavie image from the Laurence collection called: A Warm Welcome. I colored it up with Copic Markers to match the colors in the patterned paper from Echo Park's For the Record paper pad. I love the happy colors and pretty patterns in this pad. So fun!

I added a sky background by using a cloud template and my Copic ABS and then sponged in some grass with Jenni Bowlin ink in Stick Candy. and then did some paper piercing around the edges for a little more interest. I machine stitched the papers and created the little sentiment tag by using vellum and a PTI die  and stamp.

july 2011 - Page 212

I am entering my card in the Papertake Weekly Challenge: Anything Goes and Copic Creations Challenge: Create a Landscape.

There is a 25$ gift certificate as a prize for the winner of this challenge and you can find out more details and how to enter ~here~.

Also wanted to let you know that Stamp & Create has a whole bunch of new items just in! OMGosh! I had a little bit of a shopping spree!

The Magnolia Stamps are NOW in STOCK and are 10% off, too!!

Also now in stock are the new CC Designs....

I had to pick up some of the new Sweet November Fairwees! They are too cute!

Happy shopping!

Stamp & Create June Challenge

Happy Monday Everyone!! The weather has finally turned warm and sunny and so our June challenge feels entirely appropriate!

June Challenge - SUMMER

The prize is a $25 Gift Certificate to Stamp and Create.

**You are welcome to use any stamp for our challenges, but please make sure to adhere to the challenge theme and mention our challenge in your post**
There is no product spotlight this week but THERE IS A SALE!!!! That's right, you can get 10% off you entire order by using the discount code "Summer"!!

Here is my summer inspired card:

sc2011 - Page 178

I used the lovely Sarah Kay stamp: Juliet in the garden of nasturtiums to create this criss-cross pocket card. You can find my video ~here~ showing you how to do it.

I also added a small heart charm underneath the satin bow. I used a MFT border die to create the sweet scalloped edges. It adds such a romantic look, don’t you think?

Here you can see the inside. I decided to machine stitch two wonky lines around the edges for a touch of whimsy.

sc2011 - Page 177

The pull tags on the top were made with a Spellbinders fancy tag die and the sentiment and stamped flower are from Verve Stamps.

Have a great rest of the day!

Stamp & Create Product Spotlight

Happy Monday! I regret to inform you that it is snowing in Montreal as I type this. I regret to inform you that I can no longer shine with positivity and say that I am sure Spring is on it’s way. I regret to inform you that to top it all off, I have a cold. I am thinking about moving to Florida.

Thank Goodness for stamping. This sweet Stampavie image is the perfect tonic when you have the Winter blues like I do!

s&c 2011 - Page 080

My image was colored with Copics and I enhanced some of the shadowed areas with my Cool Grey markers.  I added a very light shadow around her with a Kohn-i-noor pencil and then sponged the edges with Antique Linen distress Ink.

I used a very simple but one of my favorite go-to card layouts but added some interest by layering 3 different types of ribbon.

The bottom layer is a luxurious May Arts silk ribbon, the middle is a gorgeous ivory crochet and the top layer is a wrinkled ribbon. I {heart} the texture that this brings to the card and of course, this one button is the perfect accent to it all. At first I was going to add more…..buttons are the Product spotlight this week over at Stamp & Create…but one just seemed to add more punch. Sometimes less is more!

Lately, I have started to add buttons to my cards more often. I really like this little embellishment. Can I say that it is a little more “casual” than a flower? Does that make sense? Maybe it is my cold meds talking! LOL! In any event, I am really into buttons lately and Lacey has them at 25% off for this week at Stamp & Create. I noticed that she has some new Jenny Bowlin ones….takes a look at these beauties:

I think these are gorgeous!

Here are some links to the products that I used for my card:

Thanks for stopping by! Please visit the Stamp & Create Blog to see the gorgeous creations that the team has made for inspiration and to check out the monthly challenge for a chance to win!

Spring Snuggles

Happy Monday! I am a little bit sad as my 3 munchkins have finished their Spring Break and are back at school today. It was with a heavy heart that I had to return to making 3 lunches this morning ;)

My card today features one of the new, amazingly sweet Stampavie images that I got recently. I am following a “Spring” theme which is the monthly challenge at the Stamp & Create blog as well as this week’s Cute Card Thursday.

2011 S&C - Page 040

The papers that I used were from Cosmo Cricket’s Mitten Weather collection which I know is technically a Winter line but I just think it is very soft and spring-like. The card layout was taken from one of my friend Claudia’s recent cards. She has the most amazing eye for proportion!

Lacey, who owns Stamp & Create is moving to another home and so this will disrupt her store business a little. Here is what is going to happen to try and keep everything running smoothly:

Any orders placed by noon EST on Wednesday March 9, 2011 will ship out before she moves. Otherwise, orders will not ship out until March 20th.

Any orders of $25 or more placed during March 9th-19th will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Gift Certificate. And there is a 10% discount on orders placed during March 9-19th using discount code: moving

Here are some links for products that I used:

  • Stampin’ Up border punch
  • Paper Trey Lavender Moon ribbon
  • Cosmo Cricket Mitten Weather 6x6 pack

That is it for today. I have had a few email inquiring as to whether I travel to teach Copic Coloring. I teach classes at Scrapbook Centrale which is located on the West Island of Montreal. This month I will be teaching on the 18th and the 25th. I can get you more details if you are interested. I am really a SAHM and fit my crafting and blogging around raising my kids so I won’t be travelling around for the time being but thanks for asking :)

Hello Sunshine

Happy Sunday! I am posting my Sketch Saturday a day late :) Seems never to be enough time in the day for me to get to everything I want to!

2011 - Page 021

I have had this sweet Stampavie image for ages and just never got around to coloring it in. Now that Lacey has gotten in this year’s new Stampavie release in her store Stamp & Create….I knew that I had to do give this little fellow some love! Lacey has started shipping the new stamps. you can see them ~here~ They are totally gorgeous!

The paper I believe is a MME collection from last year. It was perfect to complement the bright colors that I used for my image. I added some twinkling H20s to the flower and the butterfly for a little extra sparkle. I machine stitched two of the panels and added a luxurious May Arts silk ribbon that I tied using the bow easy. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink.

Sigh…this card makes me long for the summer!

Please join in our challenge this week over at Sketch Saturday!

Love You Much

Happy Thursday! Hope your week has been going well! The week-end is almost here!

Today I have a card to show you using a stamp that I bought AGES ago and then just never used. Unbelievable! I was so happy to be able to ink this sweetie up!

2011 - Page 201 ***this card will be available to purchase on ebay later today along with other Valentine cards***

I pulled out some K&Co paper that I have been hoarding and the card layout is similar to one that my friend Claudia used on one of her amazing cards this week. I just loved the balance that she achieved.  I used some gorgeous taffeta ribbon as well as some older ecru lace from my stash. I love the layered look! The sentiment is from Stampin’ Up and I used the two different sized tag punches.

I am going to enter this card in the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by! I will be back tomorrow with my card for Fridays Sketchers. I am hosting this week and I hope you can all come along and play with the sketch that I created :) Plus…we have a terrific sponsor….I’m just saying ;)
