Seaside Art Journal Page | Julie Nutting Paper Dolls

Happy Thursday! I had a wee bit of quiet time today in between shuttling around the younger boys. Almost caught up with the laundry as well…at least for now! So, I had time to edit the video I filmed while I made this Art Journal page. After posting my Cinderella themed one, I had a bunch of requests for more PAPER DOLLS! You can see the Cinderalla themed one –>HERE.

Creating these Art Journal pages with Paper Doll stamps is one of my truest forms of relaxation. I love creating a mood and a feeling with each of these pages.  This one is beach themed and my Paper Doll is joined by a Paper Guy! I love the beach and so do my husband and our boys, so this one is truly inspired by how I always feel: Let’s go to the Beach!

The paper is still in stock! I was so happy and relieved to see that it was still available. I have the link below!  It really was the perfect paper for my scene. I love how this sweet couple looks with it as the backdrop. The sentiment is one that I truly believe and it comes from another one of the Paper dolls. I stamped it with a brown that matches some of the elements in the background so it stands out enough but doesn’t look like it doesn’t belong.

I ended up adjusting the hair on the dolls after filming. I like how it fills in her face a little more and it really made the gus’ hair look more even.

Paperdoll Art Journal Page | Cinderella Magical Wishes

Happy Thursday! Hope you are all having a great week.  We have had such hot tempertures here all week. Not actually a lot of fun. It is really too hot to be doing anything outside.  I venture out to water my garden and try to keep it from frying, but other than that, I have just been going out to do groceries and run errands.

I filmed this video way back in Februray but it has taken this long before I had a chance to edit it and get it up. I love creating these art journal pages with the Julie Nutting stamps. It is one of my very favorite crafting activiites. I wanted to create one that looked like my very favorite of the Disney Princesses: Cinderella. The video will show you how I did it.

I tend to work with paper scraps and bits and bobs from my crafting stash. I like using them on the art journal pages. Generally I keep things I love, but often they are not enough to create a whole card or scrapbook layout. These 6x8 pages with the paperdolls is the perfect way to use them up.

Mermaid Paper Doll Art Journal -Julie Nutting

Happy Tuesday! Hope you are having a great day! I have a new Art Journal page to share with you today and it features one of Julie Nutting’s Paper doll stamps: Seaside Sally. She is a gorgeous mermaind and I was so happy to finally have the time to create with her!

Usually when I create these pages for my Art Journal, I use papers from my stash. Generally they are so old that they are no longer available to purchase but similar ones can always be found!

I love to mix and match my stamp sets to get more bang for my buck. I keep this in mind when I am purchasing new sets and it is the reason why I bought MFT’s Memazing and Exquisite Ocean sets. I knew I would able to create some stunning ocean scenes with them.

This is also one of my first forays with Distress Oxide inks. I think I love them! They are so different from the Distress inks but I love how they all work together.

I think this photo really shows how everything layered together so prettily. I was sad to see that I couldn’t find any MIster Huey product to link for you. I guess they don’t manufacture it alny more. It really is just a white liquid that you mist over your page.

A Paper Doll in Paris | Art Journal Page

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I have a video which a filmed a few weeks ago and have just now had time to edit and post :) Time is crazy scarce these days but I really was excited to share this with you after all the positive feedback when I posted my video sharing my Art Journal Album. You can see that HERE.

I thought my title was quite clever and really love how this page turned out. I have been to Paris with my hubbie quite a few times and it is one of our favorite cities. It seemed the right place for this lovely paper doll to be :)
