December Daily and October Craft Haul 2017

Happy Friday my lovelies. These days, if I am not busy with my kitchen reno or taxiing my kids to and fro, I am palnning my December Daily and Christmas projects. I love to create for the holidays and there is never enough time. You may think I am too early in the December mode, but I promise you that it is never too early.

So, although this is a Craft Haul video, I did take the time in the first few minutes of the video to share how I create my December Daily albums. I share some pages from my album for 2016 and also divulge that I never complete the last few days of the album….I always do that the following year! Just the way I roll! Now, because I shared some of the pages that I created, I also included the product links for you :) You’ll find them below the video!

Christmas Series 2016| Day#11 Fairy Christmas Bakeshop

Happy Thursday! The time is just passing by so quickly. I have been in such a festive mood. Our decorations have been up since the first week of Advent and I have been so enjoying them. It has been snowing quite a bit and I MUCH prefer that to the green Christmas we had last year. Today, the snow was falling like it was powdered sugar being shaken through a sifter! LOVED it and this is a great segue into the them of my lastest Christmas card: A Fairy Christmas Bakeshop shaker card!

I admit that this was made for a very specific person in mind. I won’t say, because I haven’t given this to the person yet! I think that if you have a friend or loved one who enjoys baking, this is the perfect card to give them. I have been wanting to pair up the Lawn Fawn Baked with Love set up with another set and then I thought of having some sweet Sugar Plum type of fairies working in their bakeshop and then idea was born. I had to wait until I could get my hand on this set (it is actually more a Spring-themed set) and I am so happy that I could squeeze it onto the end of the series.

I think that using the foiled cardstock to cut out the frame and the sentiment really makes this card look magical. The bright happy colors of the confetti on the backgrond cardstock inspired my coloring pallette and then the final touches were some sequins and Wink of Stella glitter pen!

Christmas Series 2016 | Day #8 Rocking Horse

Happy Monday! If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I was away for a few days last week. Hubby and I were finally able to take a trip to celebrate our anniversary! We went somewhere warm and tropical and it was the perfect trip! I am back fully refreshed and ready to start celebrating the Christmas season. Mother Nature helped out with the first winter snowfall of the year! It certainly looks like Christmas outside with all the snow!

I have a new project to share with you that I created for my 2016 video Christmas series. I made an insert page for my December Daily album that features a very sweet image illustrated by Sylvia Zet. I love the old fashioned feel to the image and pulled my color pallette from one of Whimsy’s new Christmas paper packs.

I incorporated a slider component to the page so that the rocking horse slides back and forth and rocks as well :) I love to add interactive aspects to my December Daily to make it fun and surprising.

The large poinsettia was hand-made using the new die set from Whimsy and matching papers from the paper pack. It was very easily created and the addition of stickles to the center brings a little bling that is also picked up by adding thin strips of glittery ribbon to where the two papers meet at the top and at the bottom.
