Stamp & Create

Happy Monday! Hope the first day of the week went well. Mondays are always a little hard :)

So, I made a gorgeous Project Life insert for my Stamp & Create DT post and then, found out that Lacey sold out of the image. Doh!

Here it is anyways. There are tons of gorgeous images from the same line ~here~

DSC_3519 copy

I colored and then masked off my image. I added some cloud masks and then air-brushed the whole insert. I love the vibrant colors. Not sure which company the sentiment is from. I no longer have the packaging…sorry :(

I added a few die cut heart and then this sweet star charm to finish off the look.

So, I went ahead and am re-posted this card I made using one of Tickled Pinks stamps Lil Futuristic Willow. Tickled Pink images are all on sale over at Stamp & Create so you can snag yourself a great bargain :)

Love yourself

Happy Wednesday! I have just a quick share for you all today :) I made this card a while back and never posted it! The image is from Tickled Pink’s Pinkette line and I love her cute hair-do and blue jeans.

The sentiment is from MFT. It was one that I just had to pick up. I think it is a wonderful and oh so true :)  The paper I think is MME Lime Twist :)

I am entering this in Papertake Weekly’s challenge: A stich in time. That is is for me! I have a very long to-do list today :)

Tickled Pink School Pinkette Chloe

Happy Sunday and Happy April Fool’s Day! Did someone play a prank on you today or were you the prankster?

Today is the first preview day for Tickled Pink’s new Pinkette Collection…The School Pinkettes! Technically I am on not on this team as I am a Pink Lady but I could not resist these sweet images and decided to make one for the release :)   There are 4 new images which will be released on the 5th April 2012.

Introducing:

School Pinkette Chloe 007 copy

I {heart} her kilt and sassy haircut. I tried a new combo for her hair and I was really happy with how it turned out (E15, 17, 18, 19, Y21). The paper is from October afternoon and the ruled paper and sentiment are from Verve Stamps. The ribbon is PTI.

A really simple card but it lets that sweet image take center stage!

You can see more previews of this cute image by the DT over at the Tickled Pink blog and there are links there to all their blogs. DON’T FORGET...... Leave a comment on each post for your chance to WIN this image via digital download ONLY.

Have a great day!

Flowers Feed the Soul

Happy Tuesday Everyone! We had another glorious day yesterday. I cannot believe how warm and gorgeous it was. I had the windows thrown open and I had all my son’s hockey jerseys washed and hanging on the line to dry and freshen up. Anyone who has sons or husbands who play hockey know what I am talking about :)

Today I have a sunshiny card to share with you. This is an image from Tickled Pink’s Pinkette line. I am on the Lil Lolita team but I find it hard to resist the Pinkettes and this one was no exception :) Here is Easter Pinkette Daisy Autumn. This digital image was released last month along with some other real cuties.

TP Pinkette

I found a bunch of 5 x 7 pre-folded card forms and envies in my stash. I bought them a looooong time ago and I decided to use them up. I found I really like this size for a card especially when you can size the digital image to fit perfectly.

The paper is from October Afternoon. I am not sure which collection. They have so many and I have tons from each collection! I {heart} this color combo of yellow and aqua! The button is SU! and the sentiment is from Whiff of Joy’s Spring Sentiment set .  This is a great set for Spring. You will see my using it a lot in the next few weeks.I used a Spellbinders die to cut out this fun banner and sponged with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.

Hope this card has made you smile! Have a great day!

For my card, I decided to use  L’il Spanish Lolita Willow

TP Spanish Willow Full

What I love about Tickled Pink’s L’il Lolitas are the gorgeous folds and layers in all the clothing, the amazing hair and huge eyes. They make the images such fun to color and this particular one was pure pleasure to color with my copics. I went with a really predictable color palette of reds and blacks. For her hair, I threw in some blue into the mix to give her that really shiny, glossy look.

My cards base is 5 x 7” and I used this wonderful glittery red paper that was a scrap that I have been hoarding now for a couple of years. It was perfect for this card. The intricate oval shape was made with a Cherry Lynn die and used a Stampin’ Up embossing folder with some white Neenah cardstock to create a textured layer for the oval die cut. This way the image really pops out against the white background. I used some PTI edgers to create the scallops at the bottom of the card and tied some SU!quited ribbon along the bottom. The final thin I added was a little golden bell (saved from a Lindt chocolate bunny). It ties in with the little bells that she is holding and the card makes a sweet tinkling

TP Spanish Willow

Copic Markers used:

  • Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20
  • Eyes & Rose Leaves: G40, G43, G46

Tickled Pink New Around the World Sneak Peek

Hey there everyone! W are already Wednesday. I can’t believe how time flies. We are all enjoying our March Break….pretty much taking it easy so far. It is a great feeling. I think we all needed a little down-time. We still have a few hockey practices but that is so much more manageable when that is the only time you need to go out that day! LOL! Actually, today we are heading out to go shopping. I have 2 boys whose birthdays are fast approaching…so we will go out and I can try to figure out what I can surprise them with on their special day.

Today, I am super excited to share a sneak peek of Tickled Pink’s New Around the World Release! I say this with each release, but wow! I {heart} these images! First up, I want to introduce:

Lil Australian Lolita Kellita

TP Australian Kellita

Isn’t she gorgeous? Love, love her outfit and her hair is always such a dream to color. Now, before someone emails me to tell me that I didn’t color the koala bear in a very realistic tone, I know. Poor planning on my part. I should have colored her boots differently so that I could use those colors (closer to a koala’s coat) on the bear. Oh well! Next time.

The patterned paper is from a pretty old Basic Grey pack that I just never seemed to be able to use. Somehow, they just seemed to be meant for this image and this card design. So nice when things pull together like this. The butterflies are from Whiff of Joy. I really will stop using them on every card….sometime soon!

So, the rest of the Pink Ladies have also created some stunning cards using this amazing image….hop on over to the blog to see them! We also have a fun blog hop happening later on this week with each DT member giving away a free digital image AND one lucky commentator of the hop will receive the whole set. So, something that is not to be missed!

Have a great day!

Tickled Pink Sneak Peeks Day #3

Hi Everyone! Happy Thursday! I apologize that my posting is going up so late today. I had internet issues last night and could not pre-schedule my post. Happily, it was resolved this morning and so……here is my sneak peek for Day #3!

Lil Futuristic Stephan

2012 003 copy

Remember my card from this Monday? I found this cool “orbit” Print & Cut at the same time and knew it would be the perfect backdrop for this image. I added some October afternoon star patterned paper for the background and will most likely use this as a birthday card. I will add the age once I know who this will be going to!

Don’t forget to leave a comment here and at the Tickled Pink Blog for your chance to win!

Gotta run….I have a ton of things to get done today!

Tickled Pink & Whiff of Joy Sneak Peeks

Happy Wednesday Everyone! I have two sneak peekies for you today!

It is Day #2 of the new Tickled Pink February Release! This time the Lil Lolita gang is travelling into the Future and Space by the looks of their clothes and accessories :) Introducing the….

Lil Futuristic Collection

These images will be available as of February 10th as digital release! Today the Tickled Pink Design team is previewing the second image of the new release: Lil Futuristic Lolita Willow. Here is my card:

Space Willow

After coloring Willow up, I couldn’t find any patterned paper that I liked or that was a good match. Usually, I pick the paper and then color. So, I decided to create my own! I used a combination of Stampin’ Up stamps and PTI ones along with various inks to create this vivid and fun background for Willow. The sentiment is from Verve Stamps.

It wouldn’t be a Tickled Pink Blog hop without some prizes! You have the chance to win this cutie as a digital stamp! Just leave a comment here and at each of the Designers’ blog posts as well as the Tickled Pink Stamps blog post. At the same time you will be able to see the gorgeous creations by the rest of the Tickled Pink team!

*****

Whiff of Joy’s new Spring release will be available as of February 15th. What a gorgeous collection. You will love them all!

Tickled Pink Sneak Peeks ~ Day #1

Happy Monday Everyone! It is Day #1 of the new Tickled Pink February Release! This time the Lil Lolita gang is travelling into the Future and Space by the looks of their clothes and accessories :) Introducing the….

Lil Futuristic Collection

Today the Tickled Pink Design team starts previewing the first image of the new release: Lil Futuristic Lolita Lilith. Here is my card:

Space Litlith

I found this cool Print & Cut from the Silhouette store. I was going for a fun comic book look for this card and it was perfect!  I colored up Lilith with some fun pink tresses. I think it looks gorgeous along with her green eyes! I didn’t add any embellishments at all. I thought the vibrant Jupiter graphic was enough!

It wouldn’t be a Tickled Pink Blog hop without some prizes! You have the chance to win this cutie as a digital stamp! Just leave a comment here and at each of the Designers’ blog posts as well as the Tickled Pink Stamps blog post. Tickled Pink January Release Day #6

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Hope you are all having a great day wherever you are!

It is now Day #6 and the final day of the new Tickled Pink January Release the Lil Greek Gods Collection. This collection will be released on January 20th Australian time which means that it is available today …..January 19th for us in Canada and the United States. I know that they are going to be going fast. Each and every one of these images is original and amazing!

Today we are previewing: Lil Greek Aphrodite Willow

Aphrodite Willow

Originally, I had planned to color Aphrodite Willow’s hair a lovely golden shade…..which is how Aphrodite is usually depicted. I also wanted her to be wearing a white colored gown with this pop of red as her cloak. I decided that the blonde hair wouldn’t work after all and went with the stronger raven black hair instead. I am really happy with this choice as it just fits in with the rest of the card: the cream and white DP which is from Websters Pages and the columns which I cut using my Silhouette SD and some cream American crafts cardstock. To add more pops of red, I added this heart (from the $ store), tiny red adhesive gemstones, PTI bakers twine and Stampin’ Up satin ribbon. I sponged the columns with Antique Linen Distress Ink and also sponged a little bit directly on the DP, to create some shadows and make the columns stand out better against the cream background.

It wouldn’t be a Tickled Pink Blog hop without some prizes! You have the chance to win this cutie as a digital stamp! At the same time you will be able to see the gorgeous creations by the rest of the Tickled Pink team!

Tickled Pink January Release Day #5

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

It is Day 5 of the new Tickled Pink January Release the Lil Greek Gods Collection. This collection will be released on January 19th…not long now! These babies will be in your hot little hands soon!

Today we are previewing another amazing image  Lil Greek Apollo Lestat

Apollo Lestat

Again, I went with a very simple design. The papers are all bits and bobs from my scrap drawer. Papers from WoJ, MME and Websters. I thought this Tim Holtz clock die would be a perfect background to Apollo….nevermind that this is a Greek collection and those are Roman numerals….what do they call it? Artistic Licence? LOL! The brads are from a SU! Vanilla Hodge Podge set.

It wouldn’t be a Tickled Pink Blog hop without some prizes! You have the chance to win this cutie as a digital stamp! Tickled Pink January Release Day # 4

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

It is Day 4 of the new Tickled Pink January Release the  Lil Greek Gods Collection.

Today we are previewing another amazing image: Orpheus Willow

Orpheus Kellita

My card was cut with my Silhouette SD machine. I re-sized the cut file so that my card is a 5.5-inch square. The yellow patterned paper is from an old Stampin’Up paper pack and the aqua-blue paper is from MME Lost & Found Breeze 6x6 paper pack. I kept the card fairly simple with just a little paper piercing and the addition of two flowers in the corner.

Copic Markers Used:

  • Skin: E000, E00, E11, R20
  • Eyes:  BG000, B00, B02
  • Hair: E50, E41, E43
  • Dress: E81, W1, colorless blender
  • Harp & Sandals: YR30, Y21, YR24

Tickled Pink January Release ~ Day #1

Happy Friday Everyone! It is Day #1 of the new Tickled Pink January Release and I have to tell you….it has been hard to keep these beauties a secret. I absolutely squealed when I saw this new release and I am happy to tell you that it will be available very soon! Introducing the:

 Lil Greek Gods Collection

Today the Tickled Pink Design team starts previewing the first image of the new release: Lil Lolita Athena Lilith.

Athena Lilith

I just {heart} this image! I knew right away the color palette I would be using on Athena Lilith. I searching the Silhouette on-line stored and found this great cutting file. I cut it out using my Silhouette SD on cream AC cardstock. I sponged the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink and sprayed it with Mr. Huey’s White mist from Studio Calico. I wanted to give it an aged feel. I rifled through my 6x6 paper pack stash and found these papers. They were loose but I believe that they are Websters’ Pages.

Copic Markers Used:

  • Skin: E000, E00, E11, E13, R20
  • Eyes: B32, B04
  • Hair: C3, C5, C7, C9
  • Helmet: Collar, Sandals, Spear Tip: Y21, YR31, YR24
  • Dress: Colorless blender, E81, W3
  • Spear, Bird: E40, E42, E35
  • Red: R24, R27, E07

December Daily Album

Good morning! It is time to open another window on the Whiff of Joy advent calendar! If you discover which designer is hosting today's prize you have a chance to win the stamp used on their card.
Katharina, Alice, Colleen, Gio, Ingrid, Jane, Jane Millard, Jeanette, Lori, Sandie, Sonja, Tutorialblog Happy Thursday and Happy December 1st. I finally have all the pages and components of my December Daily photographed and ready to show you. I think I may have gone a little over-board! A couple of the panels (for days 2 & 15) will need to remain secret as they will be shown later this month….perhaps with a prize or two involved :)
This post is really photo heavy but I figured I would show you it all at once…I didn’t want to make you wait any longer. Hopefully as the month progresses and I add my personal photos to the album, I will have the time to share that with you as well. Okay…..here we go:
December Daily cover copy
December Daily cover close copy
I covered my chipboard album with gesso, warm white acrylic paint and then a layer of matt mod-podge to protect it. The word “december” is from a Kerri Bradford cutting file, the numbers were in the Studio Calico kit as were the brad and snowflake (got that idea from Nichol Magourik) the frame is from SU! and I sprayed it with Mr Huey Hollyberry mist and added glitter glue to it ( I did the same with the title)
December Daily intro copy
This will be my cover page. I will be adding another frame and then some text.
December Daily calendar copy This chipboard calendar was also in the Studio Calico kit. I added the numbers with all old Hero Arts number stamp set and Jenny Bowlin Cough Syrup ink. I also added some stamped test along the bottom from an Ali Edwards Technique Tuesday stamp set.
Here are the pages and inserts. You can click on any picture and it will enlarge for you  :) I added Hambly transparencies which I cut to fit and punched holes into. The die cuts are all from Kerri Bradford Kits, the stamps are from Whiff of Joy, Magnolia and Tickled Pink Stamps. Most accessories are from the Studio Calico kit and the rest is stash. I think I outline a lot of that in my intro video which you can find ~ here~

As you can see, I didn’t always use the same style to date my pages, I like that there are different styles and I think it makes if more fun to have to hunt a little for the date. I love uniform, but once in a while a little change is perfect :)
Stamps ~ because I know you and you will want to know ;)
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
