Happy Friday! It is finally not so hot and muggy today! I took advantage of the fact that it was a little cooler this morning to hang out in my backyard before starting my day!
I am posting my first (but not last) Halloween card for the year! I know it is early but what are you going to do??? I have used a bunch of the new August products from Whimsy stamps to create this spooky and cute card! Here’s what I did:
To create the background, I diecut a piece of light blue cardstock and a piece of black cardstock using the Wonky Window Die 2. The black cardstock serves as the frame and the blue pieces will be the background. I blended distress inks onto these blue pieces using the Picket Fence Studio Blender brushes. They are seriously a game changer and totally worth the investment. I used the Distress Sprayer to add water drops that I patted dry with a paper towel. I then added white dots for even more dimension.
The images were colored with Copic Markers (I totally lost the list of markers – apologies) and then fussy cut them out. They are from the Going Batty Clear stamp set. The sentiment was white embossed and it also from the set. I used my Mist to ensure perfect placement.
That is it for me today. I have loads of laundry to do as well as get some school supplies and new clothes for the boys!
Hugs Jeanette xxo
