Whiff of Joy Challenge # 146

Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope that your week so far has been a good one :)

Today, I have my card for the new Whiff of Joy Challenge to show you. This time, our challenge is to:

Use your Favorite Colors & Use Lace

My favorite color is aqua blue and right now, I am loving pairing it up with yellow. It makes for such a happy combination.

WoJ Challenge 2013 # 2

This cute polar bear image is from a couple of Christmases ago, but I thought it was time to pull him out again and show him some love. Once again, I aimed to create a card that would have minimum bulk to facilitate mailing but at the same time, I didn’t want it to be boring. I added a lot of interest by adding texture.

The aqua paper was stamped with a Hero Arts Snow Dots background stamp and I used Papertrey Ink’s hexagon die to emboss and also to cut out with.  I added a wee bit of lace from SU!, some gems left over from my Whiff of Joy December Daily kit and tied a sweet snowflake charm, also from Whiff of Joy, with some bakers twine. The pretty edging on the yellow paper on the right was created with a Whiff of Joy metal die.
