Happy day! Today I have a new video and card project to share with you that is a little different from my usual. These cards have no colored images and are clean, simple and elegant.
We all need Sympathy cards and while I like to have very simple ones to send out, but I still want them to be beautiful. The new metal dies from Whimsy are just what I needed. By using some high quality cardstock, this simple two color palette and some die-cutting I was able to achieve this Wedgewood like effect.
I added a simple embossed border around the edges of the card front. This kept the card from being too plain and made it look more finished. In the video below, you will see just how easy this was to do!
This card style lends itself to some very pretty wedding cards as well. I switched up the color of the cardstock. changed the position of the panel and added some pearl embellishments and created a very elegant wedding card.
This cards style lends itself to an assembly line, mass production. You can do two or ten in about the same amonunt of time. Then you will always have an appropriate card on hand.
