Christmas Series 2016 | #5 Mice Christmas

Happy Wednesday night my lovelies! I tried, really tried to get this up earlier today but I just kept getting interuppted! Ack! I have a new card and video in my Christmas Series to share with you!

I really try to get a lot of use out of my stamps, even ones that have specific themes. This adorable stamp set from MFT has a definite harvest/autumn theme but by doing a little creative cutting and switching out pumpkins with stamped images from another set, I was able to create a sweet christmas card.

I felll totally in love with the Leafy Backdrop die from Lawn Fawn. They really makes some gorgeous and well thought out dies. I knew that it would create the perfect winter scene. I cut the background with the largest stitch rectangle die from another one of their sets and it was a perfect match. I used a stencil to create the snow, along with some embossing paste. Such fun stuff to use!

A little touch that I didn’t show in the video is how adding a little C1 to the snow underneath the mice is a great way to add a shadow and to ground them ;)
