Whimsy Holiday Shaker Card + Video

Happy Monday! It is time for another Whimsy Video! This is also part of the Whimsy 12 Days of Christmas and I will have more details about that at the end of this post.

This card could easily be made for any Holiday. Just change the colors up and you will have a different festive look. For this one, I decided to use the tradtional blue, white and gold for Hanukah.
When you watch the video, you will see that I had originally colored up her oven mitts in pink. I ended up not liking it so I went over the pink with a prismacolor pencil. The pink disappeared. It was only after filming, editing my photos and video that I noticed it. That one PINK sequin that managed to slip into the shaker mix! Take a look at each photo and you will see the pink photo bomber!

To create the window for this shaker card, I first sponged various inks onto some watercolor paper. When that was done, I used the Big Notz plate from SU! to cut out the center. I love the shape and it is a change from the usual rectangular or circular shape that I often use for shaker cards. The I used foam tape to pop up the border.

The sentiment was stamped onto the acetate using a white pigment ink. Since it was a clear stamp, it was super easy to line up on the card. That pink seguin is just glaringly obvious, isn’t it? Why didn’t I see it?
