Whimsy Stamps ~ Video

Happy Monday! I am so happy to be able to share my first video made for Whimsy Stamps :) I picked a sweet image and shared how to color, mask and create a background with distress inks. I also used some metal dies in a fun new way!

Jellie-Bean-full

The image is named Jellie Bean and was colored with Copic Markers. Since I was using Copic Markers, I used Neenah cardstock  and Memento ink which meant I had to be careful when I used water with the Distress inks. I didn’t want my paper to warp or have my ink run all over the place. So with a little care and working quickly, I was able to achieve a watercolored background AND copic coloring on the same paper :)

I knew I wanted to use the Speech Bubble Border Die with the Happy Large word die. Instead of using the cut out “happy” I cut it into my speech bubble and the fun background underneath was revealed. A fun new way to use the die!

Here is the video showing you how I created the card from start to finish. If you would prefer to watch it in HD you can go to my channel –>HERE

Absolute LOVE your card. It is simply adorable and I thought it was unique how you used your middle topic color in the warm gray first to do your blending. I must say I want to give this a try to see if I can't get more blending going on. Great work and thank you for sharing
