Happy Winter Blues

Happy Wednesday! We are in the middle of a winter storm over here. It is actually quite beautiful outside :)

When I saw the new Tiddly Inks Challenge, I had to smile at the theme: Happy Winter Blues. Here is my creation:

DSC_8212 copy

I totally fell in love with this image: Winterlight Wishes. Little Wren, a fox and a polar bear. How perfect. I created the background by masking off the image and then using Distress inks to sponge over.  I added some “snow” with a Sharpie poster paint pen and embossed the star using Platinum embossing powder. The frame was created using Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles.

If you would like to see how I masked the image and sponged the ink, you can watch this video below. I used a different image and ink colors but the technique is exactly the same :)

One more creation for my December Daily album! Yay!
