~ Stamp & Create ~ Live in the Sunshine

Happy Monday everyone and Bonne Fête Saint-Jean à tous mes amis Québecois! It is a holiday here in Québec and also my FIL’s birthday so he is lucky to ALWAYS have everyone on holiday for his birthday! We are heading out there this afternoon. After all the rain and grey conditions we had been  having…..it has suddenly turned really hot and muggy. I took a walk this morning with my youngest and even at that time is was pretty hot. There was a breeze coming off the river so that helped…..I am thinking this afternoon might be a little uncomfortable but I WILL NOT complain.

I love mermaid images and so I was so happy when I saw that Stamp & Create had these new mermaid images in stock. I used this one first but the others will follow soon:

This new image from Whimsy stamps is from their Little Cottage Cuties collection. This sweet mermaid is Bonnie.

I stamped her on a piece of Neenah Solar crest card-stock that I had cut to size at 4x6”.   When I stamped the image, I also stamped it off onto some eclipse masking paper as well. I then stamped this wonderful sentiment from Technique Tuesday onto the blank area. Sigh…one day, I hope to have a wee house by the sea-side.

After coloring my image, I used the eclipse paper to mask the image off and then stamped over it with versa-mark ink and my favorite  Hero Arts Fabulous Flourish stamp.  I then used SU! embossing powder in Pool Party to emboss the image. Then I sponged over the edges with Hero Arts Pool Tide ink.

To add a little more interest, I used a MFT die and some Kaiser Craft pearls  add some accents.

I am entering this in Cute Card Thursday’s challenge: Summertime.

That is it for me! Have a wonderful day!
