Stamp & Create ~ Tilda with Violin

Happy Monday! Brrr…it is terribly cold here this morning. I sent the kids to school so bundled up, all you could see were their eyes peeking out. With the wind chill, it is minus 32 so there is no fooling around with exposed skin.

Today I have my DT card to share with you for Stamp and Create! We are also introducing our brand new team mates, so it is a big day over at the blog! Please go and take a peek at our wonderful new members!

I pulled out one of my un-inked Magnolia stamps from the 2012 Christmas collection: Holy Tilda with Violin. I also pulled out my Distress re-inkers and markers to color her up. I takes me longer to use the inks than to color with my Copics, but it is fun to change things up once in a while and I was really pleased with how this one turned out. After she was colored up, I used an older Magnolia background stamp to create the snowflake circle. I have SO MANY of these accessory stamps and now that I have stored them all in one place, it is easier to get them inked up and onto my cards.

The sentiment is from Verve stamps and I used a Spellbinders tag set to die cut the banner shape and while the paper was still in the die, I sponged it with Vintage Photo Distress ink.

Once again, I am bearing in mind that in order to mail cards, the embellies have to be less bulky. I made a sweet bow with the Bow Easy using Wrinkled White ribbon and created the small dots on the scalloped circle with Liquid Pearls in White Opal. The bling is from Want2Scrap.
