Whiff of Joy August Inspiration Blog Hop

 August 2012 copy

It is time once again for a new Whiff of Joy Blog Hop! This month we hope to inspire you with our creations using our newly released products. If you didn’t come here from Katharina’s blog, then head on over there first. She is the first stop on the hop :)

Our newest release Kiss the Cook has a Baking theme. We have our sweet Maya and some of her friends in the kitchen preparing some yummy treats and of course our beloved mouse Henry dons some chef attire too! As well, we have new sentiments, a wonderful (and much needed) numbers stamp set and some amazing new dies!

To top it all off, you asked and we listened. The lovely Spring Kit images that feature a romantic and charming wedding theme are will now be released as digital images.

All this is available now at Whiff of Joy!

This month the Design Team wants to inspire you to go beyond cards! You will find a ton of ideas along the way and we hope that it inspires you to try out new techniques or create something different. Whiff of Joy has a wealth of crafting products. If  you can imagine it, we can help you create it!

A complete list of the hop can be found at the Whiff of Joy World of Ideas Blog just in case you get lost along the way or we have a wonky link

I created a small recipe book to contain my favorite baking recipes. The pages were all cut using my Silhouette SD using a Lori Whicock file. Super easy and so fast but you could certainly create your own without a die cutting machine.

This super adorable image in called Yummy cupcakes and after coloring it in with copics I cut it out with a circle nestabilite die and then so that it would be more durable, I added  3 layers of UTEE. Some luxurious WoJ silk ribbon was added with a WOJ pearl brad to add a little extra embellishment. To secure my book shut but still  allow extra pages to be added easily, I added some more WoJ pearl brads.

I have already cut out all the blank recipe insert so that they are ready for me to add to my book. I will prepare a video tutorial later this month to explain how I get my typed recipes onto these :)

The final picture is the first page of my book with my Chocolate Chip  Cookie recipe :)

I hope this inspires you to create a little recipe book and embellish it with one of our new stamps and maybe to bake some sweet, chewy cookies!

Your next stop is the lovely and talented Ingrid

and I know that she will have something amazing to show you!

Enjoy the hop and we hope you will find inspiration along the way!

hugs Jeanette xxo
