Happy Thoughts & Inkspots: Happy Friday

Happy Friday my lovelies! Yesterday was the boys’ first day back to school! We all woke up before our alarm clocks in anticipation! Everything went smoothly, including the First Day Photos that we take in front of our front door year after year. The weather was beautiful and so we were all able to walk to and from school. All the boys are super happy with their teachers and locker and desk locations! All school forms were filled out (my yours truly) and signed and placed in their agendas, ready to go! WooHoo! Now after and second day of school, they have 4 days off!

Today I have a few things to show you. First are the cards I made for my youngest son’s Soccer Coaches! I cannot say enough good things about them. At the beginning of the season, we were the worst ranked team and by the end of the year we made the finals and got Silver! We had an amazing team, phenomenal parents and wonderful coaches who believed in the kids! Go Cheetahs Go! We gave each coach a nice bottle of vino and a card. One coach was anglophone and one was francophone and so we changed up the text but the image is the same.

I knew that this Whiff of Joy digital image would be perfect for the card. This cutie even looks like my wee man. I digitally added his shirt number and colored him up with the team colors. I kept the card really clean and simple with just a little shading and this touch of ribbon.

The image is available as a B&W digi, a colorized digi or as a mini rubber stamp! Love, love the flexibity!

My next project is my LLLC DT card for Inspiration Friday. The theme is back to school so I knew right away which image I would be using :)

I combined Backpack Marci with the Bookstack Set. A match made in heaven! The butterfly was made with the LLLC Butterflies Die.

The kraft frame was cut out using my Silhouette SD. Love how this breaks up the busy pattern of the MME patterned paper.
